In order to logout, please click on your profile pic at the top right of the email page, then click on the Sign Out link at the bottom right of the little box that comes up.
if its an android phone try clearing the data out of twitter from the settings applications find the twitter app and clearing its data
if its a iphone and cant logout of the twitter app try to logout from settings twitter or reset the iphone to its defaults

hey friend! you didnt write to which web site you are trying to log out.
but i remind you log out, is to close your account, so after closing your account you cant get any friend request or cant chat with your friends!
well, i think you are trying these in some social connecting account like facebook or orkut. first sign in to your account, then you can see friend request on top most look of your account. in facebook chat option appears in lower right corner of your computer screen, in orkut you need to have a Gmail account to enable chat option.
