My pprh7ds stanley fatmax. the compressor doesn't work. It's supposed to read 1st the actual tire pressure ( like 36 psi ), but it registers 182 psi. & won't turn on.

There is a small pressure transducer inside the unit that measures the pressure. If the unit has been jarred around a lot or has gotten moisture in it, the part has failed.

Stanley Fatmax 1000 Peak Amp Power Station. How do you turn off the backlight please?

Question edited for clarity.

The LED Area Light or the Unit display. The backlit display always stays on to alert you to the internal battery status, so that when you come to use it, it should be fully charged.

Why won't the headlamps turn off?

Maybe a stuck relay or bad headlamp switch ! You may have a DTC - diagnostic trouble code stored in the BCM - body control module ! These codes do not turn on the check engine light ! There could be a yellow wrench symbol on the instrument cluster or a service vehicle soon light or a message in the message center if yours has one ! You would need a professional grade scan tool to check for codes in the BCM !
DTC B2578 Headlamp Relay Control Circuit High.
DTC B2577 Headlamp Control Circuit Low.
DTC B2575 Headlamp Control Circuit !
If no codes were found you would need to do some tests ,such as these .
If no codes Headlamp Low or High Beams Always On test

How to change headlamp bulbs

Your headlamp bulbs are replaced from the back of your headlamp unit. You have to raise the hood and look toward the center of your headlamp, some are hard to get to. You will see a twist lock that holds the bulb in place. The twist lock turns about 1/4 to a 1/2 turn the the lockand it will pull back. You may have to wiggle the bulb some to get it to come out if it has never been replaced. The wires will only plug in one way so don't worry about that, usually when you replace one bulb the other will go out soon after but I have seen them last longer. Take care and good luck, If you go to a godd Auto Parts store they will usually assist you in changing this. Remember also that the halogen bulbs should not be touched by your hand as the oil from your skin will make the bulb blow and or give it a short life. Hope this was helpful, Roger

2002grand am daytime running lights

99 - 04 grand am.

I had the "service vehicle soon" light come twice with in 1 year. First the heald light bulbs were gone. Replaced the head light bulbs and after 2 starts the "service vehicle soon" light was gone.

The second time the DRL - #194 amber bulbs were gone. Replaced these and the "service vehicle soon" light was gone after 2 starts. The DRLs are housed in the headlamp housing, the tiny bulbs beside the head light.
