Re: Blower won't stop runing.

First I would make sure that at the thermostat your fan is not in the on position rather than auto. Your other options are that your blower relay may be "stuck" or possibly the installer wired it improperly making it hot all the time.

What will stop the fan to stop spinning on a goodman ac unit on the outside

If you are wanting to just get it to cut off because it won't do it on it's own, you can turn the a/c breaker off at the breaker box. I have seen alot of blower fan switches go out on older goodman units and the blower stays running all of the time. Get a technician to check it for you. Good luck .

Why does Blower in the inside unit continues to run non-stop? Thermostat set on Auto

If when the desired temp. is reached, the compressor and condenser motor (outside unit) will shut off but the blower in the inside unit will keep working when the thermostat is set to Auto, the problems could be 1 - thermostat unit defective, and 2 - blower motor starter relay defective.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

My outside unit runs a little while then shuts off.

More likely the out door fan motor has bad bearings and that would cause the out door unit to run for 15 to 20 min but it could be low on freon
when the out door unit runs after 3 to 5 min the larger of the two copper lines going into the unit should be ice cold

If the thermostat you just installed has a time delay that will keep the indoor blower motor running for up to 5 min after the unit shuts off

Furnace Blower stops working after 15 minutes

Replace the blower motor. Cleaning of the blower and motor will help in the moving of more air but will NOT eliminate the real problem in the motor bearings. Over time the lubrication will dry out and bearing wear results.

First question first, NO! this is a simple problem and a common one to fix, just change out the outside contactor coil, the contactor has a thin layer of silver on them to prevent them from arching and sticking together, over time this thin layer burns through and stick the contactor and wont let go, till you replace the contactor coil,(20.00) 24-volt 40 voltage amp coil! YOU CAN DO THIS after you kill the power to the unit.!Thank-you-very-much!
