Question about Grohe 32 999 KD0 Alira Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Sink Faucet, Stainless Steel

1 Answer

The pull out faucet is loose, wobbly, won't stay attached.

The hose seems to retract but the head doesn't tighten to the "spout".

Make sure that there is a weighted ball connected about halfway down the retracting hose. If not you need to go to a supply house and purchase one and its a simple install. However if there is one attached you can loosen the 2 screws and slide it up closer to faucett but not so far that you can't pull out the sprayer as far as you need. Also make sure nothing is obstructing it under the sink. bottles, cleaners, etc.

Faucet head dangles. won't stay docked? how to fix???

If this is a kitchen faucet that the spout is also the spray, then my guess is that the weight on the hose under the sink has come. It takes a small phillips head screwdriver to tighten. Good luck!

How do you remove the spray head from the supply line on a Grohe Ladylux?

Ok not sure what you are asking , but here it goes. If you are wanting to take off the sprayhead simply pull the sprayer out and unscrew. If you want to remove the spray hose from the bottom of the faucet simply grab the red spring loaded connector near the TOP, and pull down spring to release (kind of works like an air hose quick connect). If you want to remove the arch the hose must be removed from the faucet first, then simply jerk up on the arch to remove. When the arch is removed, there is a specialty tool that came with the faucet (which most plumbers keep) to tighten or loosen the faucet. Hope this helps. Luckydog

Kitchen faucet hose will not retract on its own

Faucet hoses use gravity to pull them back down into position. You want to add some weight to the hose or clear the space underneath your sink. Usually a big heavy nut will do the job as well.

There should be screws that when tightened, will push against the metal flange that rests against the underside of the sink thereby pulling the faucet down and tightening it. Good luck!

Trouble with a Franke kitchen faucet - the spout has a retractable internal hose for spraying down the sink - it is not retracting as it should

Look at the clutter under the sink. Is the hose tangled or caught on something? There should be a weight clamped to the hose to make it fall back into place. This weight minght have slid down the hose.

Kitchen spout leaks

Hi buffy9,

I'm Harvet the Master Plumber.

Your question is: You have an American Standard two faucet in my kitchen and the base of the spout leaks at the base. How do you remove it and replace the washers?

Are we talking about an American Standard two HANDLE faucet or one of the single handle models?

Thank you,
Harvey your Master Plumber
