Has anyone successfully repaired a water damaged N95?

Salt water corrosion will not be the problem. Salt water will cause short circuit in the components. Highly unlikely you can fix this player even if you clean it up.

The only way to do this.
undo the battery compartment remove the battery, clean battery off .Remove sim and dry.
Now take these pieces to a warm room and leave for 24hrs .Then try to work it.

In this situation (salt water) best thing is rinsing the equipment immadiatelly with tap water and drying it throughly and quickly (with hair dryer etc.) But its been three days, so the internal circuitry and metallic mechanisms are most probably affected from salt water since its highly corrosive. Now, you can send it to your dealer/camera manufacturer for throughly check and repair. I believe nothing you can do right now. And its probably still damp inside, means still affecting by corrosive salt water if you did not already dry it throughly.

caring for the touch screen includes touching the screen with clean and DRY hands., if your phone fell in the water, it will likely damage the touch screen.. contact your nearest LG repair center.. i hope your phone will soon be fine..

hi the main problem is not in ur display screen. the lcd is ok. but inner connections might have got damaged.

Salt water is corrosive and even if you do get them to work again they wont work long....buy a new phone...and ipod and camera...

Sounds like maybe the update wasn't as successful as it says it was.

Try the update again, and see if it completes.

I have an N95 and had a few problems with mine, I ended up sending mine back to Nokia for repair.

If your update wont complete, or start, get on the phone to the shop you bought it from because they'll liaise with Nokia. If you bought it elsewhere, get straight onto Nokia yourself here

My Grand daughter washed her phone. I took it apart.battery covers That stuff, then i used a hair dryer on it. that fixed it. that wasn't the last time she washed it. hehehe
