Question about Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3200 Laser Keyboard Mouse
The keyboard is cordless. It quit. I thought it needed new batteries. We put in new ones, held the buttons down on the part that is plugged into electricity, the one on the bottom of the key board and the one on the mouse.
The mouse works, but the keyboard still doesn't. We have double checked the batteries, they are okay.
You don't need to install any software updates. Just do the following:
[Ctrl]-[Alt]-[F12] (must use the left [Ctrl]-[Alt] keys, not the right)
Push the Connect button beneath the keyboard, then the Connect button on the USB Receiver, then the [Esc] key on the keyboard.
This will unlock the security encryption on the keyboard. You may need to reconnect the mouse afterward too.

Hi, I got the same problem with an Logitech Cordless Desktop LX500 and find the solution on Logitech website: it took me less then 10 minutes to fix it (But quite a few hours to find a solution!)
Basically the last solution provided is quite good but there is documented procedure to follow (Some key stroke as CTRL - ALT - F12 ).

Hi I had the same problem.
It is to do with the security settings of the keyboard so that key strokes can not be detected by other computers.
I am not sure why this was working and then stoped working other than that I enabled auto updates.
To fix the problem I un installed setpoint and then re installed from my original CD and was prompted to resed my security key. Once complete all is working fine

Thanks Pete. Solved it for my MX 500 keyboard, that would only allow the media buttons to work, and not the normal qwerty keys.

SOURCE: keyboard does not work
i would suggest starting over.. uninstall the drivers for the keyboard mouse and go download the new ones from the manufactures website and fallow the instructions. typically they want you to install the drivers first before plugging in the wireless receiver. i hope this helps.. good luck.
side note- if your having the same problem with 2 diffrent wireless keyboards. you might have some interference from another wireless device. i.e. cordless phone, cell phone. so you might troubleshoot that if the drivers dont work.
