Question about Logitech Keyboard
We thought it needed new batteries. We put new batteries, followed the directions on how to restart, but it doesn't work. We have double checked that the batteries are in correctly.
We pushed the red button on the part that plugs in, also, on the button on the bottom of the keyboard, and the button on the mouse. The mouse works. The red light is on on the part that plus into the elec., but the keyboard does not work.
We have put two different sets of batteries in the keyboard, all new, but it still will not work.

The assumption here is that the keyboard and mouse "have" been installed previously and are not working now. I know that "ass"ume is a four letter word but it had to be said. 1. Check the batteries and make sure that they're ok. If only one of them is weak, replace "BOTH" of them. 2. Re-synch the devices with the transmitter foillowing the instructions in the manual. 3. If you think that the drivers have been corrupted, go to "device manager" and update the drivers. 4. You should be able to download all of the data that was on the installation CD from the Logitech" site. Good luck.

i would suggest starting over.. uninstall the drivers for the keyboard mouse and go download the new ones from the manufactures website and fallow the instructions. typically they want you to install the drivers first before plugging in the wireless receiver. i hope this helps.. good luck.
side note- if your having the same problem with 2 diffrent wireless keyboards. you might have some interference from another wireless device. i.e. cordless phone, cell phone. so you might troubleshoot that if the drivers dont work.

You don't need to install any software updates. Just do the following:
[Ctrl]-[Alt]-[F12] (must use the left [Ctrl]-[Alt] keys, not the right)
Push the Connect button beneath the keyboard, then the Connect button on the USB Receiver, then the [Esc] key on the keyboard.
This will unlock the security encryption on the keyboard. You may need to reconnect the mouse afterward too.

Maybe you don't need this, but if it still won't work after this, then return it as defective.
