How do I replace the crankshaft sensor on my 2001 Buick Regal? Both knocksensors?

You best bet is take to a ASE certified repair shop or a GM dealer ! When replacing crank sensor a special procedure has to be done with a scan tool .
Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn
The Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn Procedure should be performed if any of the following conditions are true:
?€¢
DTC P1336 is set

?€¢
The PCM has been replaced

?€¢
The engine has been replaced

?€¢
The crankshaft has been replaced

?€¢
The crankshaft harmonic balancer has been replaced

?€¢
The crankshaft position sensor has been replaced
Important: Set the vehicle parking brake and block the drive wheels when performing the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure in order to prevent personal injury. Release the throttle when the engine reaches the SECOND fuel cut off. Leaving the throttle open during the fuel cut-off will allow the engine to decel at an even rate. Once the learn procedure is completed, the PCM will return the engine control to the operator and the engine will respond to the throttle position.
Important: The scan tool crankshaft position system variation learn function will be inhibited if engine coolant temperature is less than 70?°C (158?°F). Allow the engine to warm to at least 70?°C (158?°F) before attempting the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure.
The scan tool crankshaft position system variation learn function will be inhibited if any powertrain DTCs other than DTC P1336 are set before or during the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure. Diagnose and repair any DTCs if set.
The crankshaft position system variation learn function will be inhibited if the PCM detects a malfunction involving the camshaft position signal circuit, the 3X reference circuit, or the 18X reference circuit.
?€¢
If the scan tool indicates a problem with the cam signal, refer to DTC P0341 .

?€¢
If the scan tool indicates a problem with the 3X crank signal, refer to DTC P1374 .

?€¢
If the scan tool indicates a problem with the 18X crank signal, refer to DTC P0336 .

Now why do you want to replace these thing's ? mite be able to save you some time an money. Do you have a check engine light lit ? Codes ? Does it start an run ?

On Homelight 3816c what is the position position of chain brake when cutting

Easy enough to test which position is correct. With the saw not running of course, Try each position the one where the chain moves freely is the correct position. Most likely on this saw it will away from the bar (rearward).

Can i use my chainsaw without the band break?

That's totally unsafe! Why do you need to take it off? There should be no position you cannot cut in without the hand brake lever being there, otherwise you shouldn't be cutting in that position, and if you do, I hope you have an accident to learn a lesson. Look impressive to those around you, and be safe and use the equipment correctly. Unless you want to lose fingers and rip your shoulder off with your chainsaw because you removed the safety feature. It takes like a SPLIT-SECOND at 15,000 RPMs to fly up and hit you in the face, much faster than you can react. Don't be a coolguy, just use the saw they way it was designed.

It is very important to know what kind of car you have. First sounds like you have passlock issues thats what the pljx is for. You have to have to know what car so you can program it for that car and to make sure you are using the right interface module. If you do have the correct parts then remove the module and make sure all connections are right and no wires are cut. You should be able to start the car at this point. If it does start then you must have not programmed the pljx correct.

I took the blade off of my riding mower and didn't note the original position of the blades. How do I find the correct position for the replacement blades?

Dont know exactly what you mean, but turn blades with cutting angle up. Make sure if a star like center on blade is lined up and goes over the star like on shaft and tightned bolts. If it has a tray like blade holder, just put up against it and tightned bolt. The way to remember is to put the cutting edge angled side up.
