Question about TruTech PLV16320 Television
This could be a problem with the on switch contacts becoming intermittent.They could also be wearing out from use. You need to open the television and check out the switch. You can try resoldering the connections and using contact cleaner to clean up the action if it is not a electronic switch. If it is a electronic switch try using contact cleaner on switch connection points to clean the connectors. Try tracing the connection on to the main connector and clean up that connector the same way.also check for possible faulty components in the circuit path that could be causing the problem. Like bulging capacitors and bad solder joints. If all this does not resolve your problem, then you should replace the switch if you can.You can check out the G.E. website for your make and model number of television, plug in the numbers into the customer service section and check out the frequently and troubleshooting sections and see if other people have had this problem with their televisions and had the problem solved.
