Problem for Toshiba SD-V394 DVD Player / VCR Combo
DVD/VCR Combo Stuck in VCR Mode

I can't get it to switch back to DVD mode from the remote or by actually hitting the DVD/VCR button on the unit. I've power cycled, unplugged and replugged in the device, all to no avail. It works as a functioning VCR, but I can't even eject the DVD that's in it, let alone burn anything. Is there a trick to getting this setting to respond? I got the unit (a Toshiba DVR610 1080p Upconverting Tunerless VHS DVD Recorder) for Christmas and it's been like this for over a month now. Help!
