Question about Philips Magnavox 42MF521D/37 Television
After removing the back cover. Look to the left below. Remove the foil tape. That is the board is the one with the problem. Take the five [i believe] screws out and flip the board. You will see a black and gold capacitor with the top bulged and maybe some tar oozing out. It is a 25volt 2200mf cap that is bad. replace with newone, be sure it is rated at 105 degrees. Also, just maybe, the next cap is 35volt 1200mf 105 dgree should be replaced. Remember just maybe. But for certain the 25volt 2200mf 105degree is to be replaced. These are very easy to locate. How much is this repair......its priceless.
