Question about Fisher Dishwashers

Blows fuze and has burnt electrical smell

We have a Fisher & Paykel single dishwasher. The other night it made a popping sounds a few minutes into the cycle and blew a fuse...immediately following was a burning electrical smell. Would this be a dishwasher problem or an electrical problem??? The dishwasher was there when we bought the house and is only about 5 years old. Thanks!!

Really? Did you ever find out what caused the problem? Since there was the burning smell we have been afraid that it is something electrical.

FISHER & PAYKEL dd24 , i CHANGED THE ROTOR MOTOR BECAUSE OF THE F2 CODE AND IT WAS BURNT, BUT THE CODE STILL POPS UP AT START UP ?

Need to clean the pump sump and the drain sump to make sure there is no debris left. Most likely a bone chip or seed inside the channel connecting the two sumps. Use a thin rigid wire to clean.

Dish washer blows the switchboard fuses have to un plug it

Please clarify if the dishwasher had completed the wash cycle before the fuse started blowing up. It is likely there is flooding at the base of dishwasher which causes the mains fuse to blow. YOu will have to take the bottom drawer out to check. see this video on how to take drawer out. The steps are shown half way through the video. Make sure the mains plug is taken out from the socket before you handle the dishwasher.

Fisher and paykel gwl15 wont completely drain

Also check the clear pressure tube for blockages,
Blow air down the pressure tube to remove any blockages
that would prevent water level from changing.

How to reset the flood switch on a fisher & paykel

Hi - unfortunately my good friend it cannot be reset as one would like quite easily anyhow... water has found its way to the base of the drwaers and have activated the flooding switch - one could pull it apart to dry it - tip the water out from the base but if the leaks not repaired you will have the same problem later and will be on-going.

Hi I have a DS605SS Fisher & Paykel Single Drawer dishwasher, I rent the house and the landlord says that it is quite new can you please confirm the year? Also when we turn it on it runs for like 20...

Heeeyyy - these have been around for ages no one can tell you the age unless you bought it and know where it was bought from to trace the serial numbers...

I fail to understand why this is your problem when you are renting the house. Tell your stingee landlord to get it fixed - you are getting shafted,,,

Its unacceptable for a Landlord to do this..

Have the Fisher & Paykel single drawer dishwasher ds 603 and put it on a normal cycle last night. It started as per normal and sometime during its cycle it stopped and the drawer now seems locked. ...

It is very likely the thermal fuse has blown or the power supply board has had it. Either way the power to the controller and the drawer lid seal motors is cut off. This is why the drawer is in locked state as the motors have seized.

You have no choice but to force open the drawer to get access to the affected parts. Make sure the mains power to dishwasher is turned off as the base will be live.

Replacing the power board is easy but if the thermal fuse is blown then you are up for a large cost as it is integral in the heating element.

Refer this document for details of parts and location. Heater is item 17 on page 18 and powerboard is item 15 on page 13. (the document is for double drawer model but it just doubles up on parts)

You can get a rough idea of the parts cost from this site. Depends where you live.

Hope you are able to get it fixed.
