Canon SD750 Video

I just received a new Canon SD750. In checking it out I find (when shooting in the movie mode) the video and audio are out of sync when I play the .wmv files on my laptop.

Has this been reported by anyone else? Is there an solution, or is my new camera defective.

Thanks, Bill

Re: Canon SD750 Video

If you read your manual it says that movies recorded with high recording pixels and frame rates may experience problems such as yours and also running the movie on computers with insufficient system resources

i don't know if this applies to you though, seeing that i don't know your computer Specs.

Parjeet: have you checked your camera settings and memory card and that it doesn't have the lock switch on the card so that its protected from images/videos from being taken off.

Can I get a still photo from a video taken with my SD750?

Just about any video-editing program should be able to isolate single frames from your video. It won't be a very good picture, since the video mode records at most two megapixels per frame instead of the seven megapixels the camera can record for stills.

I'd like to put Canon EOS 7D video to iPad?

Like the 5D Mark II the 7D shoots H.264 codec. This must be compressed to a smaller size for iPad syncing or converted to a friendly codec for iMovie.

For iPad,

1. Transfer .MOV files to your Mac via USB.

2. Use Canon MOV Compressor to slow the 60fps down to 24 using frame controls.

3. Sync converted movies to iPad via iTunes

For iMovie,

Just convert Canon 7D to AIC for iMovie editing. iMovie supported best video format is AIC Codec MOV format, you can edit video with this format in iMovie smoothly without rendering,

My camera Canon powershot SD750 is recording very fast forward movies..please help

It sounds like you're in "Fast Frame Rate" video mode. Turn on the camer to video mode, then press right/left to select normal 640 pixel video. (Depending on the camera model, you may or may not have to press "Func" or "Func Set" first).

Video too fast during playback on my Camera

I have a Powershot SD1000 and it should be similar.
When the video plays very fast it was probably filmed in Timelapse mode( which fast- forwards the video) When you are in video mode press the SET Button and set the camera to Standard mode

I have a canon SD 580. When I playback the video clip it's always in fast forward mode and I can't play it normal speed. Any help?

Make sure you are shooting your movies in "Standard" mode. If you have the mode set to something else, especially "Time Lapse", the playback may not match 'natural' motion.

In any case, you can control the speed of the playback. When you first enter the movie playback mode, there should be a movie control bar along the bottom of the LCD. Instead of the "Play" button, select the "Slow Motion Playback" button (single arrow with single bar next to the normal Play button), and control the speed with the left or right arrows on the multi-controller.

Downloading video

The video recorded on some camera's may put the audio out of sync. That sounds like what has happened with you. If the sync is always off by lets say 2 seconds, you can fix this by taking the video footage into an editing system and you can align/adjust the audio to match the video. It's a little extra work, but it will fix you problem.

Good luck

Canon SD 700 IS Movie Sound Issue

This is because of low light and low frame rates in the camera. It records the sound on time but the picture delays. In the camera's video menu, choose a higher frame rate to help this a little. Honestly though, If you want to shoot better video get a video camera.

Black display in lcd in shooting & movie mode

Your CCD imager is broken, cameras made from 2002 up to 2005 has a weak ccd imager. Company who uses this defective ccd imager recalled all unit and replaced it with a stronger design free of charge. check first their website, find their customer support bulletin, make a copy and show it to their service center.
