Question about Toshiba Satellite M45-S269 Notebook

Laptop suddenly shut off and will not turn back on

Recently, while using my laptop, it suddenly shut off. The battery was nearly fully charged and I had it plugged into the AC adapter. Now it will not turn on. There is no sign of life. The lights that usually come on when I plug in the adapter do not come on when I plug it in and even with a fully charged battery it still won't come on. Sometimes, by rotating the plug that connects to the back of the laptop from the adapter, I can get it to turn on and start normally but then it suddenly shuts off after less than a minute. Is this something that I can get fixed?

Sometimes the voltage regulator in the battery hit a point where they fall below a certain efficiancy % they have to operate at. Once they fall below that % you must replace them, even if the battery is 100% charged. Its usually a good idea to pick up a new charger as well with a new battery since they are known to die as well. Make sure you check the socket in the back where your charger plugs into the laptop to make sure its not loose or cracked. Sometimes the plug will crack off the motherboard and not make good enough contact.. But regardless of that it should atleast turn on if the battery was charged and good. Best bet, new battery. Every 2 years you should get a new one.

Sudden shutdown

Remove main battery and run the laptop, if it continues to work without shutting down that is a indicator the battery needs to be replaced.

If you haven't installed or not aware of any application installed recently on your laptop then--
your OS has been loaded with lots of unwanted or overloaded stuff;
1) First try to clean all junk files
2) Clean Cache
3) Free Up some space from your OS drive (most system it is C:\)
4) Uninstall unwanted programs
5) look into task-manager for his program usage
6) Check your Antivirus software

Most likely processor problem. If battery is good and power supply is working.
