Zfk56/52 not cold fan running compressor is hot to touch

Compressor getting hot is normal. Fan working is good. Make sure the inside fan works and that the vents are not blocked. Vacuum under the refrigerator so the air can circulate to the condenser coil. Good luck!

I have a fridgedaire mini fridge frt045gm.. So the freezer floor gets cold but the fan doesn't run in the freezer. So it's not getting my fridge cold

Only choice is you will have is to remove the cover over the fan and see if something is blocking the fan from turning. If a defective fan I believe this fan motor will replace yours=> Evaporator Fan Motor 5303918549

We have a ge hotpoint HSS251FMBWW refridgerator. The power lights are on but neither the refridgorator nor the freezer will get cold.

Take a look at the compressor and compressor fan. If the fan inside is going the one outside by the compressor should be going also. Look for air restrictions around the compressor and clean em up. Feel the compressor: Hot to the touch means the relay is fried, cold to the touch means the relay has died.themobilian_1977.jpgthemobilian_1978.jpgthemobilian_1979.jpgthemobilian_1980.jpg

This is what to do. On the side of the compressor is a relay overload set. Unplug the power cord. Connect a meter to the wires going into that set. If there is no power you will need the mother board linked below. If there is power you will need another overload relay set.

My fridgedaire cannot initiate compressor

Possible start kit bad or compressor. Make sure condensor fan motor working. if not replace it. if ok replace start kit and if still a problem you can bet it is the compressor.

Does not make cold, main compartment or freezer, replaced "relay/overload" capacitor (?) but still cycles/clicks off and on - lights on and motors run but no cold.

if clicking off and on I would say . the relay is working but the compressor is not starting . if comp will not start ( no cold ) the fan by the comp runs when the comp runs / but if comp does not start the fan does not know .. if comp runs the lines one is small and other is larger . the small one gets hot enough not to touch.it . not hot no cool . I think you have a compressor problem .. **** hope this helps . get back with me .. //mm

The lights are on in the refrigerator and freezer, but neither unit is cold. The thermometer on the refrigerator registers 55 degrees. Why is it not cooling??

First, make sure the compressor is running. It is underneath the refrigerator body. If the compressor is running, and you still don't have cold air, check the compressor fan. This should be close to the compressor. This fan draws air across the coils and removes heat from them. The compressor and fan must both be operating properly to get cold air.

The light comes on but nothing else comes on. I do not hear any noise that it is coming on.

Check your cold control ( thermostat). Is it turned on? If so, is it good? Is it turned up to a colder temperature? If nothing is happening, unplug it. Disassemble the cold control. chances are, there are two wires to it. Twist the two wires together. Plug it back in, making sure that the wires are touching anything. Check the compressor and see if it is running? Is there a fan inside? If so, is it working? If the wires made the compressor and fan, if present, to come on, chances are, the cold control is bad.
