It sounds like you are trying to login to the Netflix app? First, make sure you have the correct Netflix ID and password by logging into the website with a PC, tablet or smartphone. If you're sure the credentials are correct, try deleting the Netflix app from the PS3 and then adding it again from the Play Store. I've had this fix the problem.
There are a multitude of places to look at here... first..can you log in from anywhere else... like a smart tv, a Ps3,, a Wii, or a computer?
If those dont work... then you should check your password, or a change in your credit card..........did you get a new credit card number?.... when that information changes, you need to notify Netflix so they can get their money... or you dont get movies. 288.585.7265 is the customer support for netflix... if you are still having problems, give them a call, maybe they can resolve your issue.... They dont bite.
Select Netflix Instant Streaming icon from the HOME Menu, and tap "Open." Select the box labeled "Email," enter the Email address associated with your account, and then select "Enter." Select the box labeled "Password," enter the Password associated with your account, and then select "Enter."
If you're not already at the main menu, hold the PS3 button in the middle of the controller, select Quit, then select Yesto return to the home screen.
Select Network Settings.
Select Internet Connection, and verify it is set to Enabled. If it's Disabled, make sure to select Enable.
Select Internet Connection Test.
If you are able to connect to the Internet, check your date and time settings.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet, you may be having network connection issues.
Refresh your Netflix Iogin information
Begin from the PS3 Home Screen.
If you're not already at the home screen, hold the PS3 button in the middle of the controller, select Quit, then select Yesto return to the home screen.
Navigate to the TV/Video Services section and highlight Netflix.
Press X.
Immediately after pressing X, press and hold both Start and Select and continue to hold them down until a message appears asking Do you want to reset your Netflix settings and re-register?
Select Yes.
Enter your Netflix email address and password.
Reinstall the Netflix application
From the PS3 Home Screen, navigate to the TV/Video Services section and highlight Netflix.
If you're not already at the home screen, hold the PS3 button in the middle of the controller, select Quit, then select Yesto return to the home screen.
Press the Triangle button on the Playstation controller.
It sounds like you have an active network connection, but test the network just in case. I am not in front of a PS3, so this is from memory. Go to Network Settings, and within that option, there should be one to test the network. Make sure you have a strong signal if you are going through wireless.
The other issue might be the saved Netlfix settings. Erase the Netflix settings file (this will erase your login and password) and try re-logging in. Again, I am not in front of my PS3, so I can't tell you for sure where this file is, but I think it is under the video section, but it is not the icon that loads up the Netflix app.
