Question about Epson Stylus Photo R220 InkJet Printer

My 2 year old R220 has also began to print blank pages after a clean/nozzle check cycle. I have tried everything to cure it i.e. system restore+ reinstall+ 2 sets of new cartridges+ SSC utiliy+ counter reset etc etc. The printer recognises the cartridges, can see the volumes remaining, goes throuigh the motions as though it is printing - but no ink comes out despite the fact that ink is pulled out during the cleaning process. It seems like something is not pulling or pushing the ink out of the printhead during the print(?????).

Problem with micro pump at head. Pump is damaged/ lost electricity. Check board first. is there some chip/IC at board "burning"? Check IC power of board.

Epson 2280 printing blank pages


Run a head cleaning cycle by pressing ink button for 3 seconds or longer. Try printing after 3 cycles, if getting blank pages still. Nozzles are clog, better get a new one than having it fix, more cost effective.

Colour ink not printing


If the printer is printing blank pages, make sure you are using the correct printer driver and make sure the paper size is correctly selected in the driver. If the printer is printing black only, the "Ink" option in the printer driver may be set to "Black" instead of "Color" or a setting in the software may be set to print black only. Also, the print head nozzles may be clogged.

A head cleaning and nozzle check must be performed as a cycle. After printing a nozzle check, examine the printed dot pattern. Each staggered horizontal and straight vertical line should be complete, with no gaps in the dot pattern. If there are gaps in the dot pattern, continue with another cycle. Perform up to 3 cycles if necessary. If the nozzle check is not printing completely, and if the head cleanings do not help the nozzle check pattern to print completely, turn the printer off overnight and try the cleaning cycles again.

Try a new ink cartridge. Also, make sure you are using a genuine ink cartridge and has the same number as your old catridge.

PLSE HELP IM TRYING TO PRINT BUT NOTHINGS HAPPENING, IT IS ALL SET UP


test the printer first, so that we can isolate the issue. print a nozzle check to eliminate the possibility that the nozzles are clogged by dried inks. if nozzle check prints blank page or it printedr but w/ gaps or breaks, do head cleaning

Check the Print Head Nozzles: 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series. 3. Hold down the cx4400_ug.1.79.1.jpg Stop button as you press the cx4400_ug.1.79.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the cx4400_ug.1.79.3.jpg On light begins to flash, then release the buttons. cx4400_ug.1.79.4.jpg 4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. cx4400_ug.1.79.5.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. Clean the Print Head Nozzles: 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Hold down the cx4400_ug.1.80.1.jpg Stop button for at least 4 seconds to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts around 1 minute. cx4400_ug.1.80.2.jpg The cx4400_ug.1.80.3.jpg On light flashes throughout the cleaning cycle and stays on green when the cycle is finished. You may need to clean the print head up to 2 times. You can also turn the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series off and wait at least 6 hours. Then try printing again.

it maybe because your printers nozzle might be dirty. try to perform some cleaning cycles about 3 would be more effective......

Epson r220 prints black lines through photos ect anything I print


The problem caused by waste ink at bottom plate arround head sprayer. Clean it. Turn off printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with warm/hot water) upper head cleaning pad. Move head to right (parking position). wait for 10 minutes. Repeat it for 2-3 times. Check nozzle.

Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select head clean). Now run a nozzle check (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of ink on the paper. Try up to three cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print.

If you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have good ink cartridges properly installed, then You can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head by hand fully
into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on at any stage in this process. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then turn the printer on and try a head clean/nozzle check again. If you get any black ink on the nozzle check, then there is hope! Repeat the process
until you get a full black nozzle check. If nothing, repeat the process once more. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.

Epson c66 won't print


If your cartridges have been sitting in the printer for a year, it seems likely they have dried out. Replace them with new cartridges, but make sure you use the proper cartridge replacement procedure so that a ink charging cycle takes place. Then do a nozzle check. Is there any sign of ink on the paper?. Try up to three cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print.

Deskjet F380 is normaly printing but it will print blank


If the printer is printing blank pages, make sure you are using the correct printer driver and make sure the paper size is correctly selected in the driver. If the printer is printing black only, the Ink option in the printer driver may be set to Black instead of Color or a setting in the software may be set to print black only. Also, the print head nozzles may be clogged. From the Utility section found in the printer driver, clean the print heads by performing a head cleaning followed by printing a nozzle check pattern. A head cleaning and nozzle check must be performed as a cycle. After printing a nozzle check, examine the printed dot pattern. Each staggered horizontal and straight vertical line should be complete, with no gaps in the dot pattern. If there are gaps in the dot pattern, continue with another cycle. Performing up to 6 cleaning cycles is not uncommon if the print heads are severly clogged.

Epsom R220 printing wrong colours


Print a nozzle check pattern then clean the heads until nozzle check pattern returns to normal. If you are using cheap **** compatible inks, throw them out and get some genuine stuff to run in the cleaning routine. Cheap **** compatible ink makes the situation worse when cleaning.
