Question about Xerox Phaser 7750DN Laser Printer

Engine control board

How difficult is it to change an engine control board in a Xerox 7750?
Is it just a matter of unplugging the cables on the old board and plugging into the new one/
Thanks
Gary

It's easy all you do is the following..
remove the top cover
remove the rear cover
them the right cover
then on the top left side of the rear cover there should be a metal cover protecter, remove that and you will have access to the engine control board wires. Disconnect those wires CAREFULLY should be under the image processing board. Remove the image processing board then there should be 4 or 5 screws holding the image processing board cage. should be on one on every corner. Then the cage should pop up with no problem and the engine control board is under it.

Error Code 9-456

This error code means the life of the black developer is at its end. It is probably time to replace all four developers and the only reset is replacing the engine control board.

The costs will come around 1000usd I recommend you buy a new one.

How do you reset toner counter on phaser 7750? Thanks

On the back of the 7750 toner there is a metal piece you can push in near the end that goes in to the machine first, this will tell the printer that the toner you put in has not been installed until now. I would not suggest doing this unless the toner is full and is using geniune xerox 7750 toner.. If you refill it with generic or non-7750 toner it can damage the machine and will void any warrenty you may have left on the machine.
If you switch machines with the 7750 toner the machine will not know how much toner is remaining in that toner. Xerox changed this method on the 7760 to use a toner chip to fix this.
Hope this helps, thanks

Hi i got xerox phaser 7750 and i have error code

Cheap fix : reset the Developer Life Count in the Service
Tools menu. Hold down the back ARROW key with the "i" them with your other hand turn on the machine.

Expensive fix : What has happen is that the developers have come to the end of the life and once it gets to a certain page count it will print out no more until you have replace the developers. One thing xerox forgot to do is reset the engine control board too for this machine. So you might need a new engine cotrol board too.
Procedure

1. Replace the Developer
2. After the Developer has been replaced, reset the Developer Life Count in the Service
Tools menu.
NOTE: It is recommended that all the Developers and Beads be replaced at one time rather
than on sccessive visits.

Good luck.

I have a xerox 7750, error code 9-913

This problem occurs when you buy the wrong image unit.
The contact chip that is located at the bottom of the orange plastic is not for the machine. Replace it with 7750 image unit and that should fix your problem. Black is fault 9-910 cyan fault : 9-911 magenta fault: 9-912 yellor 9-913.

Error code 7-402

Error codes 7-401 to 7-404 are life end for the tray rollers. If no jamming probs then enter diags mode (Back and'i' buttons and switch on) scroll down to NVRAM access and select. find CRU counters and select, clear each tray counter and then exit.

Yep, there is a cluster on the upper back side of the right side door. They fail and you should just replace all the clutches at once.

On my xerox phaser 7750DN it says report fault 4-361, what do I do ?

You might have a bad
ENGINE CONTROL BOARD or
DRUM DRIVE ASSEMBLY . Start with changing a new Engine control board before the Drum drive assembly. Make sure all your cables are connected before and after changing the parts. Good luck
Also you might want to call a company I always called this guys at www.Iteminc.com for information and trouble shooting they are good. I don't know their number but good luck.
