Http://www.hp.com/#Support this link could solve your problem.

also make sure you are using good quality ink for your printers. I use to have many problems with my printers and then i started purchasing my ink from www.yahootoners.com, you could not find a better price quality product anywhere else. trust me its worth it.

My printer brother mfc 465cn has been giving me problems by not printing my documents and documents getting jamed in the printer. What should i do?

Printers should periodically be cleaned out with some canned air and an electronics-safe cleaner.

Depending on the age of the unit, it could just be a "gunk" problem.

Brother MFC-465CN printer. Need a fix for error 46.

The problem is due to the fact that Brother machines excessively self-clean. Each time they self-clean a small amount of ink is dumped in to a holding tank/sponge. When a predefined number of self-clean operations have been performed, the machine refuses to print and gives the error message you have stated. Brother state that the tank/sponge must be replaced before the counter is reset, again by a Brother agent.

However, there is a way of reseting the self-clean counter yourself - if you Google your model number and the error code somewhere in the results you'll find how to do it. The only risk of doing this without changing the tank/sponge is that it will eventually overflow and leak out the bottom, but I did my Brother all in one some time ago and have had no problems yet.

can you ping your printer from that computer? if not then can you ping other computers on your network? If not then there is something wrong with your computer network on that computer.

Brother mfc 465cn printer

If you remove the empty cartridge, you will see a small window on the egde that plugs into the printer, in the center. This is where the printer optically scans for ink levels. On the empty color cart, you can try covering that raised spline with electrical tape or by coloring it with a black permanent marker. That should fool the sensor into thinking your ink is full.

My Brother MFC-465CN is printing text with alignment off and double text.

My Brother printer MFC-465cn is doing the same thing. I have workaround / worked-around it by disabling bi-directional printing. Then print is clear. It's as if the head is shifting an irregular amount on the opposite direction, like the head is loose.

Same for copies. If I use the PC interface to make copies, I can set the copy printing to be mono-directional, then copies are clear.

Printing selected text only

Have you tried highlighting the text, copying it, pasting it into a notepad and printing it from there?

I need to scan a document to an MsWord file. my printer/scanner is MFC-465CN

Your printer needs to support OCR(Optical Character Recognition) and you need to have supported software that can scan.

OCR can only scan text that is only text and very legible. You will probably have to retype the document.
