Hi Bought this TV second hand. There is no remote or instructions. Any idea where I can find both. Thank you

Most electronics stores, like BestBuy, and many drugstores like Walgreen's carry universal remotes that can be adjusted to work with almost any TV. As for instruction manuals, google the manufacturer's site. You should find the brand name on a label on the back cover of the set.

It's possible your weight adjustment has been mis-adjusted since you last used your turntable. On the tonearm, there should be a weight adjustment wheel. Turn this all the way towards the needle (IN). Now, adjust it backwards until there is no resistance in the tone arm - this is your zero point, reset the wheel on the weight adjustment knob to read 0. Now, adjust it forward to 3 grams of downward pressure. This is usually the minimum amount of force needed on a record. If it still skates at this setting, adjust it with gradual amounts of greater force until the skating stops.

I need to convert these training skates to inline skates

Buy a set of training wheels, install them on skates. Also, look in the diaper aisle for training pants. Put them on outside of your pants, so people will know your "training" thus stay out of your way.

If it does this when playing a 12 inch record then it could be that the device has been set to play a 7 inch record. The skating across is either a worn stylus, wrong skate setting (if it has one) or not enough stylus pressure. To correct the pressure one. Make tiny adjustments to the weight on the end of the arm. Each time you need to test by playing a record. If it sits in the groove and doesn't skate, plus doesn't make a rumble sound, you have the pressure right. Too much pressure causes it to rumble, too little and it will leave the groove. If the weight is numbered try it at 3, then take it up to 4 + in small steps, testing it each time you move up. It's a case of trial and error to get it right.

My arm slides across.dont no how to adjust counter weight.

hello george!
first of all remove any needle protectors provided, there is some "weight" on the arm (at the opposite end from the needle). Release the tonearm, you have to turn the weights untill the arm is in balance, then turn 2 and a half so that the needle will go down (2.5 grams), this is the optimum pressure for the needle (pick-up), some people will tell to do more pressure on the pick-up but this will result in higher wear down. On the other hand necessarily this is needed for environments with higher vibrations like discothekes. Be careful not to allow the needle to drop onto the mat or the turntable platter during this adjustment.
The next step is to adjust (if available) the anti-skate adjustment. Set the antiskate adjustment to the same number as the needle pressure setting (i.e. 2.5 grams would be an anti-skate setting of 2.5). If you are back cueing or scratching, then set the anti-skate setting to 0.

Technics 1210 tone arm Problem

This table should have an "anti-skate" adjustment. This is out of adjustment and putting to much tension on the arm. This adjustment is designed to insure that the needle tracks in the middle of the groove rather than one side. If the arm is out of balance and this os out of adjustment, the symptom you describe will occur. Hope this helps, Dan
