I did find a web page indicating one could download the user manual for your model HomeStyles sewing machine for free. However, when I tried it, it indicated I had to register (free) on the web site. When I went to the page to register, it required me to enter my credit card information. I went no farther, since by providing credit card information, I felt there was an opportunity for some scam (against me or anyone else who registered.)

If you check eBay.com listings for Sewing Manuals & Instruction (check on a daily basis), you may find someone selling just the manual for your machine. This is the link to the eBay category for Sewing Manuals & Instruction:

If you check that category daily, choose to have the listings sorted by Newly Listed.

Also, I suggest you search the eBay category of Sewing Machines & Sergers daily, in hopes of finding someone selling your model of HomeStyles machine. If the seller lists the owner's manual with the machine, contact the her / him immediately through eBay and ask if he / she is willing to scan (PDF of JPEG format) or photocopy the manual and sell the file of the scanned document or photocopies pages to you. I tried the babylock.com website for a manual for the Companion model 702. It's too old a machine and it does not come up as a choice when putting it in the search line. Also, sewingpartsonline.com does not have babylock manuals anymore.

Charger alternative: Any 5Volt DC with the same size plug of the original.
A universal power adapter LIKE THIS set at 4.5 volt will work as well. In that case, before connecting the universal power adapter to your MD 702: 1) Make sure the voltage is set to 4.5v; 2) Make sure that the polarity +/- is set properly to avoid damaging your unit!

You can go to Tradebits.com for manuals you will have to pay for them but they are cheap usaully 5-6 dollars for instant downloads. Another site is Payloadz.com that you can instant download manuals. I hope this helps you.

you cannot get manuals online you can call the company at (702) 369-3966 and request one.
