Just goto the BIOS and make hard Disk detect as IDE simply by changing the Detect Harddisk as value SATA to IDE then u can install XP

You should have Vista Home Premium In order to install xp, you will have to have a Windows XP disk, complete with a Windows XP key. This computer was designed for Vista, so you may run into driver problems once XP is installed. Just letting you know....

Please run system in safe-mode and see if it works then.
If both the keyboard and the touch-pad are not working, please remove the battery and run laptop on A/C.
If that doesn't help, reseat the keyboard cable on the mainboard.
If all fails, replace keyboard - It's a few US $
