Washer will not complete cycles

I have an Indesit topload washer. It seems to stick on the fill and wash cycle. It never gets to the rinse and drain. I can manually put in on rinse or drain and it works. It won't automatically do it though.

It has pre-programmed settings that I am using. They include--wash, rinse, and spin. So no...that is not the problem.

This symptom is in the timer, that depected already. You must replaced the timer so it works normal again .It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, and still stick to wash and the timer never advances or not working or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Hi

Please try to reset your washer by unplugging the washing machine for 10 minutes. Then after a while do the same thing reset your washing machine---

  1. Switch on the washer
  2. Move the control knob to a dot (an off position)
  3. Turn it back on
  4. After several seconds, turn it off again
  5. Turn the selector to a spin position
  6. Turn it back on
The washing machine should now drain the water and spin, when it turns off you should be able to use it. If this doesn't work then turn Programme Selector knob to any Stop/Reset, wait 5 seconds, then turn knob to the Draining symbol, another wait, machine should be reprogrammed

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Washer fills on wash won't fill on rinse. Does on old washer and new washer. Checked and plumber said not the plumbing. Help PLEASE

It seems that you are out of cycle; meaning you are washing on rinse phase and the you are not getting water on rinse because you are at the end of the cycle. Try this; set the washer to the end of the rinse cycle, let it spin and stop. then wait 1/2 hour then start a wash you will be at the beginning of a new wash cycle..

I have a GE toploader washer. The model # is WBSR1060T (VVSRV1040V, & YVSR1040V were also on the washer too) the washer keeps filling to the max setting no mater what the water level is set on, also...

Remove the front panel of the washer by using a putty knife to release the retaining clips, located in the seam between the front panel and the washer's top, about 2 inches in from each side. With an empty wash tub, remove the small hose on the left side of the outer tub and clean out the inside of the hose. Replace the hose. Test.

Washer stop in middle of rinse cycle

All content © 2000 © 2009 Washerhelp
> Home / Repairs DIY washing machine advice (part 8) Washing machine sticks or stops mid-cycle repairs-sm.gif A very common fault on washing machines is when the program timer fails to complete the cycle and stops part way through. Many people blame the program timer for this but although it is a possible cause, there are many more likely causes for this fault. The program will stick if the heater isn't working, if the thermostat fails, if it can't fill up with cold water for the rinses, if it can't empty the water etc. There are too many possible causes of this fault to be able to give anything other than rudimentary advice. However, the common causes of a washing machine sticking that can easily be fixed are filling and emptying problems.
Check that the cold water supply is available to the washing machine, which is a common cause for sticking on rinses. If the washing machine appears to stop mid-cycle and isn't filling with water on rinses then see Washing machine won't fill with water (or no water goes into washing machine) before calling an engineer. If the washing machine can't drain the water out then it will stick on the rinses, or it will abort with an error code. If you can see water still inside the washing machine then check the following advice Washing machine won't empty water

No rinsing water coming in

There are 2 versions of this washer dryer, a cold fill only one and a hot and cold fill version.
If it is the cold fill version, it could be the water level switch that is malfunctioning, cutting off before the correct level is reached, or a sticking water inlet valve.
If it is the other version, then the same thing applys, plus the coil on the valve that controls the rinse cycle could be open circuit.
You need a meter to test the valve coils for continuity..
Make sure that there is actually cold water to the valve, if it is a hot and cold fill model.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Maytag Washer Not Completely Rinsing

If your washer has an extra rinse button try pushing it. My Maytag refuses to wash unless that button is pushed, so in your case it may not be completing the rinse cycle correctly.

Just a suggestion.
