There's a chip behind the arrow keys and back/clear keys. You can take th ephone apart and get to it, but it's like $60 for a new one and I don't know exactly how to get it out. This is the piece you're looking for http://www.cellphone-repair-shop.com/sony-ericsson-w580i-s500i-keyboard-mylar-with-flex-cable-and-side-key-buttons_SXK109745412.htm
Mine has a problem with the walkman button constantly shorting and switching my screen back and forth...it gets annoying.

2012 Meriva. Water drips under car behind engine compartment whenever car stops and engine switched off. What is this and is it normal?

Assuming the A/C is on and you are a warm humid climate it would be normal. The condensate from the air conditioning usually continues to drain after the car stops. Some times a small amount of ice builds up and will melt when the car is off.

Hope this helps?

I have a 1999 plymouth breeze ,the dial that switches fresh/recycle air damper won't open,my windows steam up all the time now, opening a door window is my option right now.

to stop fogging of the windows you have to remove the humidity in the air inside the car
to do this quickly turn on bothe the heater and the ac ( climate control )
the ac removes the humidity and the heater stops you from getting to cold
fresh air will only introduce more humidity into the car and the problem will never be solved
as to the damper flap not moving , you will have to fix that to get fresh or recirculated air

Can my 3 in 1 air cooler also be used as a dehumidifier

an air cooler is a dehumidifier by definition
It cools the air around the evaporator giving you cool air and at the same time any humidity in the air is condensed into water and drained off
to understand air conditioner principles it goes something like this
we sweat and the more we sweat is because of the humidity in the air
if the air temp is 30 degrees c with a humidity of 75% then we feel that it is a very hot muggy day simply because the humidity stops the sweat from evaporating and allowing the skin to cool
Now it you take the humidity out of the air and at the same day temperature , you will actually feel cool because the sweat can evaporate and cool the skin
now you can understand that the best setting for air conditioning is 25 degrees c because if the setting is lower then the skin gets too cool because there is no humidity to restrict the evaporation of the sweat
modern spilt systems have a mode called comfort where the fan and the compressor work to maintain a constant level of humidity when sleeping and you don't get cold especially towards the morning

Why did it stop condensing water?

The condenser can only remove humidity if there is still humidity in the air. What's your Relative Humidity? A manual sling psychrometer is cheap enough to check it.

The fan never stops running. The dehum. works fine that is the only problem. Is it the way I have it set how can I change that?

Bob, some humidifier fans run a lot, because they are designed to keep the air moving and when the humidity level rises, the compressor turns ON to extract the humidity. If you're operating the unit in a continual mode, it's not unusual for the fan to run almost constantly.Especially, is the humidity extraction level is set at or above 50%. Lowering it to 35% will cause it to extract more humidity and will turn on an off less.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I just purchaed a DE Series Dehumidifier. The instructions say to press the arrows keys to adjust the humidistat, but whenever I push the arrows the display reads "on". So I don't know what...

It is not abnormal for ON to show up when you first push the arrow up or arrow down button. If you want to lower the humidity press the arrow down button again, once the ON lights up. The lower you take the percentage the more humidity will be removed.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I cannot change the set point on my humidity control. It is at 70%. If I press the up arrow i get 2 beeps and no change. When I press the down arrow there is no response at all. Is there some sort of...

The problem is, your trying to raise the humidity level, not lowering. These work in reverse of what you may think. Lower the level (Arrow Down) to 32% and it will continue to run, but will draw more humidity out of the air and will not stop until the water collection bucket is full or the humidity level reaches 32% or you turn it OFF.

When you pushed the Arrow Up Button, it was already on 70%, that's as high as it will go. But that means, you're trying to maintain a 70% humidity level. If it's Summer where you are, I don't think that's what you want.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

How do you set humidity % arrows dont move it.

The percentage arrows are how you set the humidity extraction level. The lower the percentage level, the more humidity/moisture it removes from the air. The higher the level, the less it extracts from the air.

Now to your problem of the % arrows not moving. Turn the Master ON/Off Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 30 minutes. After the elapsed time, plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extracting level at 35% (That's the Down Arrow).. If everything works now, as it should, that 30 minute time out allowed the electronics to reset themselves.

If it didn't reset and the problem continues, you need to contact Gold Star technical Support

Hope this helped you solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

My Kenmore dehumidifier has stopped drawing water from the air to the collection receptical. Fan still runs at high and low speeds.

A couple of things may be happening: The humidity extraction level may be set to high and it can't extract any humidity at that level. Reset/Lower it to 35%. The fans on most dehumidifiers run almost constantly (designed that way) so that it keeps moving the air around. If the sensor picks up a higher humidity level than what it's set to maintain, the compressor will turn ON. This is particularly true, if you operate the unit in continual mode, rather than a timed mode. Also, a dirty or clogged air intake filter, hinders the units ability to remove humidity/moisture.

In addition, operating the unit is ambient air temperature of between 40 & 60 degrees F, causes the unit to struggle to dehumidify the air and the fan to run continuously. Obstructing the air flow around the unit, will also cause it to not function as it should. Maintain a minimum of 12" of free air space around all 4 sides of the unit.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know.

Touchpad will not work after boiling water underneath it for 12 minutes without fan humidity cause touch pad to stop working , I have a GE mdv 2040 with green display touch pad

you can change the touchpad to help with this but whenever you have a microwave over a range you are going to have issues with this. you have to make sure you use the vent on high whenever broiling anything to prevent the moisture from getting in the touch pad because all your touchpad consists of is two stickers and some flat wire so moisture can easily getting into it cause it to stop working for a period of time. but changing it is the best thing you can do
