You can't download Windows (unless you go to a pirated software site). Service Pack 2 downloads itself in the form of UPDATES from Microsoft while you are connected to the internet. It is a long process, and may be you already have it installed in your system if you have been connected to the net. By the way, Microsoft has available for download the Service Pack 3 for Windows XP (a 280 MB file).
Hi there.
To download SP2 you have to perform a Microsoft update, click on the start menu, then all programs and at the top left you will see Microsoft Update.
All service packs are important because the contain the latest security and software updates for XP, they also contain fixes for bugs that have developed with IE7 etc.
Its always a good idea to keep the system updated with the latest updates.
If you install SP2 you will no doubt be asked if you want to install SP3 too.
Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!
