Cursor frozen, won't respond to touchpad LG X110

The cursor suddenly froze in the middle of the screen of my new LG X110 netbook. The toggle on/off (fn +f5) has no effect, nor does turning power on/off. I attached a wireless mouse which does give me control the cursor. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, did not help, nor reinstalling driver. I have to send back for repair.
    Thank you for your time.

The problem is static electricity. power off. remove pwer cord. remove battery. try to start computer holding the switch ON for 45 seconds. this will drain the static electricity on the board down to zero. now install battery, power cord and turn ON as usual. Problem fixed!

Try to forcely shutdown your machine (hold power button up tp 5secs to shut it down), then boot your machine normally. The cause is sometimes due to application hang.

After logging in to your account, update the BIOS driver which you can found at LG site.

Frozen cursor on compaq laptop

Click Start/Control Panel andlook for the Mouse and open it to check the mouse properties. Make sureyou don't have the touchpad disabled.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad on or off by clicking on thebutton that is located at the top of the touch pad in the middle.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad by tapping twice in the upperleft hand corner of the touchpad.

Some models will require a keystroke to toggle the touchpad. Press andHold the ALT or FN function key located at the lower left portion of thekeyboard, then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The correct key tohit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square that represents thetouchpad.

Download and reinstall the touch pad drivers.Get online and got towww.google.com In the google search box type: "Dell Support"(without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Lookfor downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system whenrequested. Download and install the Touchpad drivers.

The Touchpad controls the cursor and mouse button. Try clicking Start/Control Panel and look for the mouse or touchpad. Look inside and maybe set the settings back to Default.

Asus netbook cursor stuck

Make sure there is not a lock on the top middle of the touchpad that you can press to toggle the lock/unlock. if so, press it. Otherwise I would try booting up in safe mode and see if the cursor locks.

Frozen touchpad

I followed the advice of pressing the FN and F7 keys at the same time. It didn't work when the program was fully loaded, but I rebooted and tried again during the rebooting and it worked. I had the frozen cursor on the Travel Mate (Acer) also.

Cursor is frozen and can;t move on my laptop

Plug in a USB mouse, and go to Contol Panel>system>device manager and click on the +sign next to pointing devices. Right click touchpad and uninstall the touchpad, then reboot the computer, remove the usb mouse. Windows will pick up the touchpad as new hardware and re-install the drivers for it etc..

I hope this helps
