Question about Toshiba Satellite A10 Notebook

Open Question

The power goes of after a few seconds to some minutes

It breakes the power of it self. I feel like it´s because it´s overheated, cause it omly goes a few seconds when I turn it on direct after the power goes off and it goes longer if it´s cold before I start it.

I have cleaned the fan and the heatsink (and it was dusty !) but it won´t work anyway... I have tryed to run the computer without the CPU/fan cover, but it won´t work any better - but I can feel that the heatsink is warm.

Can the processor have gone bad ? Can it be something broken on the circuit ?

Thankfull for help !!!

It is a overheat problem. If I help the cooler with a vaccumcleaner it goes and goes. I have exchange the thermal compound and cleaned the processor and heatsink with chemical petrol (maybe that´s not the right word in English...) without any improvement.

So I guess that it has one of tree possible defect components: The fan, the heatsink (it uses heatpipes) or the processor.

The problem is solved, it was the heatsink that was defect ! I don´t know that a piece of metal could be defect but that was the problem !

I have a 4 year old Bosch Ecologixx 7 self cleaning condenser dryer, WTW86561GB/02. The problem is after 10 minutes the machine just switches off, and the display panel goes dark

sounds like the thermal safety overload is cutting the power due to overheating hence why it just turns back on after a certain time, when the safety overload reaches a certain temperature it will cut the power to the machine or in some cases just the heating elements, once it cools down it resets and power is restored and by using the warm setting it obviously isn't as hot so its not overheating, its highly likely it is all blocked up internally with lint (i know it says self cleaning but they never work for more than a few years before requiring a proper clean and service)

Why does my aqua drive 1100 auto reset pool pump work in intervals of a few seconds.it goes on for a few seconds then stops and after a few minutes it goes on again

Check for restrictions causing the pump motor to be overworked.
Motor is overheating, the the Thermal Overload Switch senses that and will trip. Once the motor cools, it will restart.

My AKIRS tv model -LCT-26MTO5ST.WHEN ITS ON PICHURE AND SOUND HAVE ,SUDDENL 5 TO 7 MINUTES ITS TURNS OFF ITS SELF.WHEN THEN ON BACK IT WILL OFF IN FEW SECONDS, WHAT SHOULD I DO? HELP ME SOLVE IT HOW?

I am not familiar with your model of TV, BUT.... the symptoms you describe suggest that the device is OVERHEATING INSIDE, and a safety function is shutting it down UNTIL it cools enough to eliminate the safety hazard.

IF that's the situation, the CAUSE WILL NOT correct itself, and requires the services of a QUALIFIED Television TECHNICIAN!!!!!

To continue to use the TV without correcting he overheating problem will eventually result in self-destruction of the TV, AND POSSIBLY A FIRE!!!!!

Get it properly repaired by a professional technician NOW!!!!!

How do i keep the power on when it goes out in five seconds?

You can't. It's the systems' internal safety circuit shutting it down friend

Not an expert on those machines but it sounds like the power output stage is faulty and overheating causing a shutdown.
Needs new output stage or repair ?

Unpluged unit and left for 30 days vacation. When I returned plugged unit in and stayed on for a few minutes then shutdown. Now unit comes on but goes into stanby after a few seconds. What is the problem?

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Power goes on and then off

You likely have some failed electrolytic capacitors in the A/C to D/C power supply, The set detects the voltages produced are incorrect, or there is an overload{likely the backlight CCFL tubes}so the power supply protects itself [and you] from smoking self-destruction.
If you feel technically inclined, you can remove the back panel and do a visual inspection for leaky, bloated or popped capacitors. Replace with low-ESR of the same voltage/capacitance and size.

Maybe your graphics card is overheating, check the cooling fan over your graphics card and if it has sufficient power plugged into it.

Briggs & Stratton 2500 Power Washer Loses Pressure Time to Time

If by "a few minutes" you mean 180 seconds, I really don't know what to say. But if you mean 5-10 seconds, you probably are experiencing air in the water line or normal engine warm-up behavior when the choke has been set to full lean too soon.
