Check the component around it , check diodes, transistors, resistors, and capacitors. check also the power supply voltage.May its too high.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If warrantee still good get new one if not check for broken solder joint on transistor works until it gets hot may need new transistor should have numbers on it., If to hot will need schematic. first get sodering iron and soder 60/40 remove all covers, get(freeze it) a can of cold spray and keep hands away from power supply board the board with the wall plug coming out of it and the thick wires connected to it. do not touch, Plug it in the wall and wait until it turns off, spray the componets that you think are the problem the cold will allow it to turn on for a while check the transistors first (little black box with three leggs) then the capacitors (the little blue barrels with the black lines on them) when you find the componet call the company for the replacement part find the manufacturing company on the internet they will have it.simply make a drawing of the way the componet was in the curcuit and put the new one in,tip on how to soder pull the soder off the roll about five inches, Place the hot tip on the leg and the board wait a second and drop the soder on the hot tip for just one more second, letting a small amount melt off.do this on each leg remember that a transistor has a ground,a hot, and a base,The cap has only a positive and a negative.Good luck

I received a PV1500 amp that had only one channel working. i decided to open the amps to check the other channel being that i usually repairs amps. up on analyzing the damage circuit board of that channel,...

It seems there's another component (a capacitor, a diode, etc) causing a short circuit to triac and transistor, or there's an over voltage on this stage, please check if the voltage is according to the one feeding the good channel.

Westinghouse LCD TV SK-32H540S, 1 year old. When I turn it on, the screen works for about 5 seconds, then goes dark; power is on - sound still works but no picture

1 swollen Capacitors / Replace
2 blown Diodes on inverter board / on some # 508 or 908
3 bad transistors in inverter bad will appear overheated powdery coat
4 replace inverter if you cannot locate problem on it
there is a safety built into the high power back light supply and that is if too much current is drawn or light is shorted it will not burn up
or hazard high volt shock to user.
capacitors and diodes driven with power transistors
look for darkened spots on the board to identify hot transistors
puffy tops and leaky bottoms of capacitors

when you turn it on does the bottom or top of the screen show image a Milli second before the other it should be evenly the lag
is the one requiring more amperage

Acer 17" LCD Turns On & Off With A Buzz Sound

not an easy fix in my opinion, power control board is faulty - relay/transformer.
I cant be certain though - look for damaged resistors/transistors.

Denon unable to stay on

It's likely that you have shorted some speaker outputs, I had that problem and sorted it. Unfortunately it does mean replacing some output transistors..the devices are dificult to get to just to add insult to injury. They are the devices that are mounted directly onto the large heatsink and solder connected to the bottom circuit board. You only have to change the matched pair that you have blown....tricky to identify which ones without some electronics knowledge. The power output section does have some fuses to protect it but sadly these do not appear to be fast enough to stop "one" from damaging the power output stage if you unfortunately short outputs. The transistors are available from Farnell, use pin compatible replacements SAP15N and SAP15P.....all the best. Doctor Bill
