My Pendrive "Write protected"

your pendrive is infected with Autorun.inf virus
to remove this virus install malwarebytes and scan your whole system as well as your pendrive

If the above method is not work

try to format in other operating system like vista or in 7
but not in xp because in vista and 7 you can force format your pendrive..

Transcend JetFlash V60 16GB pen drive is write protected

Flash drives by default use the FAT32 file system. FAT32 has a limit of 4gb per file. So you could have four 4gb files on your pen drive, but no files bigger than about 4gb. You could use the NTFS format, but it's not suggested for flash drives since it reads/writes much more often than FAT and will make the drive lifetime MUCH shorter.

I hav 4gb pendrive of transcend. It cant be formatted becoz of write protection. How to remove write protection?

This should be easy to do with WinXP Pro. Right-click the drive and select Property, followed by choosing the Security tab, within which you can modify the level of protection you choose. WinXP Home, on the contrary, lacks this feature. However, you can still bring up the security tab when you boot up into the Safe Mode (Google "Safe Mode procedure" for info).

I cant format my transcend usb 2gb it says write protected

Hi

The pendrive seems faulty or corrupt but there might be a possibility that you recover functionality. I think you might be using XP or VISTA. Whichever the OS use another computer with A DIFFERENT OS (so if its XP go to Vista or vice versa) and FORMAT it. You should be able to get your pendrive working again. If not it is tough luck time!

Cheers
