Sometimes there are sd card errors make you format failed. you may get messages like

"Unsupported media card inserted, format now?" error in your smart phone,
"Media is not formatted would you like to format now?" error,

... ...

you need to fix sd memory card errors first and them format you sd card.

Unreadable memory card!!!!motorola krzr k1

you may have to buy a memory card reader, plug it into your computer and format the memory card before it will work in your phone, or your phone may require a different format of the same card, for instance some camera's take SD cards, and some take the HD/SD card, and they are not interchangeable, the SD will not work in the HD/SD device and vice versa..........hope this helps........

No. The maximum size of memory card supported by this model is 1GB microSD type only. So it wont recognize your 2 GB memory card.

Motorola k1 not reading memory card

Motorola phones often require memory cards to be formatted in order to be used. Go into your Setting and Tools menu. From there it depends on which carrier you have and which version of their software, but you're looking for an option for Memory or Storage Devices. It may be under Device Info, Phone Info, or another similar header. Again, the exact menus will vary between carriers and software versions.

Once you locate the menu for Memory/Storage Devices you should see an option for the Memory card. Select it, then choose Options (right soft key) and you'll see the Format option.
