What should i do my desktop goes on bleeping after I changed battery?

Bleeping? Sure it's not a Sheep?

The beeps you hear are BIOS Beep Codes. The computers way of telling you something is wrong, and an area to look into for it.

I hope you had the computer unplugged, and FOLLOWED Anti-Static Precautions.

If so you probably just knocked the Ram Memory loose.
Remove all Ram Memory module/s ('Stick'), and then reinstall.
It is the only way you will be assured they are installed tightly, and correctly. Visual inspection will NOT do.

Machine shows an orange light and bleeps but does not come on

This is RAM error. If you have tried to install new RAM module, probably it is incompetible with your motherboard or other RAM modules or BIOS RAM timings. Try to replace that module or restore to defaults BIOS RAM settings.

Hello I have a problem with my HP Pavillion m9277. When I switch the computer on it goes ok for about 5-10 seconds, cuts out for 5-10 seconds and then starts up again, but there is also nothing happening...

Hi Friend, As you have mentioned that your system goes off after 5-10 seconds and turns on again. I would recommend you to please unplug all the cables from the desktop and press and hold the power button of the system for 30 seconds, release it after 30 seconds and make the connections again.
Start your system again and check if your issue is fixed or not.
Also I would like you to check after turning on the system do you get any beeps from the system after which it goes off

Computer wont turn on

There are over 20 bleep codes, it sounds like morse code with short & long bleeps, these bleeps are for on board memory, remove RAM from slots & re instal one at a time in another compatable machine to check if RAM is OK, check power pack, also check power switch connection on front panel conection block on mobo

Acer computer wont trun on

My name is ArmyMason, I think I have an answer for you. You seem to have one of two issues, the most likely issue you are experiencing with your Acer is a bad Power Supply. The only fan you are hearing is the Power Supply fan and no beeps its the Power Supply. If its was the fan on the processor you heard it could mean the Processor is bad. If this is a brand new computer I would most likely put my money on it being the Power Supply. A relativity cheap fix.

CPU bleeping constantly.

Yes that means the computer has failed POST. So yes, something has come loose or has got damaged.

"POST" is an acronym for Power On Self-Test. The POST process checks the basic system functions before attempting to load an operating system. It checks RAM, processor, drives, system interface, etc. If POST fails, the system will normally halt and may produce a series of beeps from the computer speaker which can help indicate the cause of the problem.

ATI Radeon 9800xl Problem. It runs fine for about a couple of minutes then the screen goes all funny. e.g. lines and green things and you can not see things clearly.

Have you checked that the card is not over-heating?

Remove the side panel of your computer and then when you can see the inside of your computer and see the card clearly, turn on the computer...

WARNING...observe only, do not at any time attempt to touch any interior hardware parts under any circumstances whilst your computer is powered on, this is dangerous and could lead to serious electrical shock if you touch any parts whilst the computer is powered up!

Observe the following: is the fan on the card working? When the screen goes 'funny' is the fan working, is it running slow etc? If the fan seems to be working perfectly fine then it is an onboard circuit problem in which case you will need to replace the ATI card or go back to using the onboard ATI.

Hope this helps.

New Mobo & Processor but no Bleeps etc

Could be the power supply is not strong enough to power the system. Replace the power supply with one that is between 350 - 450 watts. This should provide ample power to the system.

Machine emits continuous high pitched bleep and power light flashes blue/red

If working OK, probably means that the temperature alarm goes off because is getting hot the PC. I suggest to check why is that happening. All fans working OK? is the CMOS temperature alarm set too low? check your motherboard instructions booklet- It will tell you what the beeps mean probably in the last pages. Good luck
