Question about Apple iPod touch

1 Answer

I have a new itouch that i purchased brand new from the store and it came with 3.85 gig of other. We have already restored the machine and have made sure that no large files, emails, notes, etc are on the machine. Still, this other is taking up needed space and we have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it. Thoughts? I read in another site about a .ipa file that needs to be in the right place but the ipod was purchased brand new with a brand new computer. So, all is new and never owned and we're having issues.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I erased all content on my itouch 8 gig and it now asks me to connect to i tunes now what

You should just reconnect to iTunes, and use iTunes to restore your content. If you don't sync your iPod and iTunes that often, then you will have to go back into the App Store, and iTunes and re-download your previously purchased content. Don't worry, they never charge you to download something you already paid for. The App Store has a great new feature when you go into the "purchases" menu, there is a list of everything you previously purchased that is not on the device. So, connect your iPod and allow it to set up and sync your device, and then go back to "purchases" in both iTunes, and the App Store, and you should be able to get everything back. If you're like me, and you sync your iPod at least once per week, you will have most of your content already backed up in ITunes, and replacing your content will be a breeze. Good luck.

I would like to add a memory card reader to my Inspiron B120 that is flush mount so I can just leave it in all the time to read my SD and Sony memory sticks. What would be best?

Hello and thank you for using Fixya.

Your brand of computer calls for DDR2 PC2-4200. This is the "type" you would need to purchase. I would recommend searching eBay for an inexpensive on. The memory sticks come in 1 gig. I would recommedn purchasing 2 sticks of RAM which would eqaul to 2 gigs total.

If you already have a 1 gig stick of RAM, then you would just need to purchase 1 more stick.

As forthe best one, any brand of memory would work. I recommedn Kingston brand but that is just my personal favorite as I know there is a warranty on it and the customer support is great.

New itouch 32 gig. All downloaded apps stop

Try turning off your ipod after installing a new app. Hold down the sleep/wake button on the top for 6 seconds, then slide accross to power off when prompted.

Otherwise, if that doesn't work, try restoring the update. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes, which you can get at www.apple.com/itunes.

Then make sure you have the latest firmware version for the ipod.

If all that doesn't fix your problem, try to restore your ipod via DFU mode. Here is a great step by step guide to do that. http://iphonefreakz.com/beginners-guide/howto-dfu-mode/

I hope this helps,

Nathan.

ps. keep in mind, that it could be bad programing if it is only happening on one application.

Downloading applications to ipod touch

Hi,   The easiest way to download to your iTouch is directly to your iTouch via the Apple Store. The Apple Store icon is already on your iTouch. Just make sure you are near an internet connection via Airport or Wi Fi. Click on "Download" on the selected app, and then wait a couple of seconds. Your iTouch will indicate when the download is done and the app is installed. You will see the new icon on your your screen page.
If you install from your computer, you will have to plug your iTouch into the computer and use the  iTunes app to control what you download.
I hope that helps.   Shari Dyer

ITouch stuck and unrecognizable

Sounds like a long shot but it's the only solution I've been able to track down for the oxe8000035 error - try a different iPod USB cable.

Otherwise, it's a trip to the Apple store.

Good luck.

My itouch is disabled and i dont remember my password. i try 2 connect it to my computer thru itunes but it wont show up because it says it is locked.

i had the same problem. this is all the steps needed, calling apple isnt necessary.
first: press down on the top power button and on the menu button
second: keep pressing, eventually the screen to turn it off will pop out. ignore it and keep pressing.
third: the itouch will turn off completely but dont stop pressing
fourth: the apple sign will come out. you may now release.
fifth: now you should be able to connect to itunes that will restore your ipod.

your welcome.

oh and get some ice for your fingers . lol.

Itouch unlock password

if you do not know your passcode then make sure it is plugged in 2 the cp and make sure the itouch is on the screen where it says enter passcode. then you hold the power and home button at the same time until the itouch completely turns off and then you keep on holding both buttons until the apple logo again. and after that appears, you let go of the power button but you keep holding the home button until the itouch says its connected to itunes. and then you are allowed to access it on itunes. then you need to restore it and it will restore ur hole ipod and there will not be a passcode anymore
