Wireless sensor bar doesn't pick up Wii remote

Cat chewed through old wired sensor bar. Bought new wireless (Pelican) sensor bar, set it up and it worked perfectly right out of the box. Hasn't worked since.

Can you help? Is there something that needs to be re-synced?

My wii sensor bar that came with my wii broke. I went to buy another one from walmart, all they had were wireless. I bought the wireless sensor bar but i can't see the cursor anymore to select to play...

You should try and unplug and re-plug everything before anything else. Also ensure your Wii Remote is synced up to the console.

If there are any more issues I suggest returning your wireless sensor bar and getting a wired one. Although it shouldn't really matter if it is wireless or not. Also make sure there is nothing blocking the signal.

My wii wirless sencor bar has a blue light on but wont pick up my wii remote

Perform a remote power requirements check. For example, check for batteries in remote control compartments, replace with fresh new batteries for desired operations. Alternatively, the remote control would require power on buttons before functioning with NIntendo. Locate controls power button to initatiate process.

Console not responding. have changed remote and sensor bar

Hi there,
This information comes directly from Nintendo's website. Hope this can be of help:
First, follow these guidelines to ensure you have set up the system properly to have the optimal environment in which to use the Wii Remote:
  • Check to make sure the Sensor Bar cord is inserted into the back of the Wii console and the Sensor Bar is centered above or below your TV screen (more info).
  • Make sure you are using fresh batteries in the Wii Remote.
  • The Wii Remote Controller should be used between 3 to 10 feet from the TV.
  • Make sure no objects are blocking the signals between the Sensor Bar, the Wii console, and the Wii Remote.
  • Check for interference from infra-red light sources, such as candles, sunlight, fireplaces, and stoves.
  • Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically. Check for wireless devices such as cordless phones, wireless computer keyboards or mice, or other similar devices, and move or turn them off.

Verify Sensitivity Setting dots:
Go to the Sensor Bar's sensitivity setting in the Wii menu.

  • If only one or no dots appear on the sensitivity screen, there is likely a problem with the Sensor Bar.

  • If there are more than two dots, then it appears there is an additional light or infrared heat source being picked up by the Wii Remote. Avoid sources of infrared light in the gameplay area such as electric, propane or kerosene heaters, flames from fireplaces or candles, and stoves or other sources of heat.

I have a Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar for the Nintendo Wii. I am able to turn it on, but it doesn't seem to recognize any of my remotes on the screen. What is wrong with this device?

Check the batteries in the Sensor bar, make sure it isn't being blocked by anything, back away from it and keep trying to use it at a distance... And for the sake of correctness: the Bar does not recognize anything, it merely emits infrared signals that the Wii Remote picks up and sends to the Wii via Bluetooth to interpret and calculate where to position the cursor on your TV screen. The strange thing is that the Wii Remote can sometimes be overpowered by bright lights Including the sun, so try to stay away from windows and lamps etc, etc..

You just got learned!

Remotes not picking up anything

I would suggest replacing the senor bar, it is not that uncommon that one the the Infrared LED's in the sensor bar to have burned out or go bad.

I personally use the wireless sensor bar after my original senor bar went bad
