SOURCE: Denon DP-29F belt is loose

please not this is when first set up but may help

The drive belt is fitted under the platter. When assembling the
player, please handle the drive belt with care.
• Remove all packing materials attached to the tone arm, except
that on the stylus, and then open the dust cover and assemble.
Remove the stylus cover after assembling.
Hold the platter by the holes at its outer surface, and
then carefully lower the platter so that the center
spindle enters the center hole.
Rotate the platter until one of its outer openings is
aligned with the driving roller. (Refer to illustration.)
Gently grasp and pull at the ribbon tape of the drive
belt that is would under the turntable, and then
extend the belt around the driving roller. (After
attaching, remove the ribbon tape.)
In order to make sure that the drive belt has been
correctly fitted, slowly rotate the platter 3 or 4 turns.
Place the rubber mat on the platter.
IMPORTANT! Please Check.
Check that the drive belt and ribbon tape have been attached
under the platter. Grasp the ribbon tape as shown in the
illustration to the left, and extend it onto the driving roller.

Adjust pitch

Register (free) at Vinyl Engine and download the service manual. The adjustment you need to do seems fairly simple. You will need a turntable strobe disk to get the the speed right, unless you have perfect pitch.

If your receiver ain't has a phono input and the tt has only a phono output, you'll need a phono to line line riaa amp , between the units.

Denon DP-297 Turntable Tone Arm Skating

There should be a weight on the end of the arm, this needs to be adjusted. Some have numbers on them, increase the number shown. To get it to work right you will have to do it by trial and error. Increasing the weight in small steps, then playing a record. The trick being so it stays in the groove, but not too much so it rumbles on the sound. You will need to repeat the process several times till it sounds right and stays in the groove.

My drive belt came off i do not know how to put it back on please help! I have a Denon - Fully Automatic Turntable System - DP-29F It doesn't give me much help in the instructions on how to put it back on.

1. Remove the rubber disc from the metal platter.
2. Remove the metal platter by pulling straight up.
3. Ignore the player for the moment; focus on the platter.
4. On the underside of the platter is a circle about 2 inches smaller than the platter; stretch the belt around that inner circle. Make sure it is not twisted.
5. Put the platter back on the player. Rotate the platter so that one of the rectangular holes reveals the drive wheel.
6. Stretch the belt so that it goes around the drive wheel (I used a pencil but tweezers would likely work well).
7. Replace the rubber disc.

Won't stop turning

There are some gears which move back and forth under the turntable which link to the plated  Sometimes they just get stuck, sometimes just reseting them will resolve the issue. Sometimes you need to lubricate them since they a just getting stiff (only lubricate the center of the gears by the shaft they set on) It is rare that any parts are actually broken PS Protect the needle while attempting to service the unit Rob

DP 29 turnable

I don't know what the adjustment settings are that you posted, but the speeding up could be the result of the belt in the bottom inside slipped off its spool that acts as a gear for the speeds, similar to gears on a pushbike but they are smooth spools.
