Question about IBM ThinkPad R52 Notebook
Hi, Can anyone tell me what is the problem with my IBM R-52 Laptop. It is shutting down all of a sudden whenver i want to run an antivirus.
Please suggest the ways to rectify it.
It shut down if and only if whenever you are running an antivius. It convinced me that your computer is already infected. I would suggest you to disable your existing antivirus software. Then scan your computer with a different anti virus package.

Well, the fan is either unplugged from it's socket, froze up, or completely clogged with dust, etc and is giving the bios reason to shut down.
Also tho, tell me, does the time and date keep needing to be reset?
Could be a cmos battery. Some of the older thinkpads were like that, although my T30 has never shown this problem.
