Question about Nintendo Super NES Console
I have a broken SNES sitting here with three games. Two of them get no result whatsoever, but Super Mario World gets a reaction. When I insert the game and turn on the system, I get a completely white screen with a red line going across the top. I get music, and if I mash the buttons for a bit I'll eventually get different songs playing. Sometimes I get an orange screen with pixel chinks littering the left side. it looks kind of like Pokemon's MissingNo. Pokemon. I've opened it to look for burned chips, and all I saw was some dust. And what looks like a corrosion stain on the front side of the game slot's metal cover. It only looks superficial though. Nothing else looks wrong with the board. Help?
Blow it!! If that doesn't work, you may need to find a cartridge cleaner kit. The may be available over amazon or Ebay. Look around. And the the inside of the console may have collected dirt s well, so blow that too.
Note: if you have a can of compressed air for your computer (like Blow Off Duster) you should use that, cuz when you blow things you are actually blowing small amounts of saliva on it too.

This is an attempt to try to fix this. Im willing to bet that one or more leads on the console arent fully contacting the game cartridges.Do this at your own risk... try to dis-assemble it enough to get to the contacts inside the console with a rubber eraser and use that to really clean off the leads. Blow off the dust with a good breath and try again...from what it sounds like is that the game is trying to work...(hence a reaction from pressing buttons) but the video leads from the cartridge arent responding. as for the other games....they probably use those leads for game processing and thats why they dont work at all.You might be able to reach without taking it apart, but if you really want to clean it good...you are gonna need real access. this is just a blind shot to help you out...i hope it works.
