Your lens needs to be replaced, and Darntoothysam com will do it for only $80!
Search Google for 'darntoothysam' and enter 'sd850' in the search box on the site and you will see the repair listing.
The business is registered with the BBB, the site has secure SSL encryption and the turn around time is about 2 weeks total.

The lens is damaged and must be replaced.
We do service the camera model you mentioned and the standard cost to Clean, Lube, Repair and Adjust all functions to meet manufacturers
specifications is $120.00 plus return shipping.
