Got it off, now I'm going to try and repair the rip before I drop $150 on a new seal. Going to try and glue a similar piece of rubber over the repaired tear and pray for no leaks. Thanks for the instructions - they worked great! Maybe 10 minutes to disassemble.

One tip - I pulled the front panel loose on the right side and got the inner ring clamp loose with a 7mm nutdriver, then used a screw gun with a long shank to loosen the clamp enough to loosen it by hand the rest of the way. Couldn't get a stubby phillips on it with enough torque to turn it.

My front load ge washer model GCVH6260F is leaking past the front door. I have examined the seal and it looks fine. Any suggestions.

the bellow or gasket may need to be replaced. this is a common problem with front loaders as the bellow can be pierced by anything that may be in or even on your clothes. I would visually inspect every inch of the front bellow to see if there is a TEAR or PIN HOLE.

New bellows $150 plus fitting so I use a Bike repair it and used the glue to glue a piece of bicycle tube to the inside of the seal to cover the chip by 1 cm either side and trimmed to the same height as the seal lip.
I then placed a little bathroom sanitized silicon sealant over the repair within the chip, wet down with soapy water on the door glass in the chip area and shut the door. Carefully wipe of any excess with wet finger and repeat. Open the door and let it all cure.

How do I stop my Kenmore front loader from leaking around the door. I have a Kenmore HE 2plus front loader

If this is a Kenmore FRONT LOADER you need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the door to inspect the cabinet interior for the source of your leak. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576656-washer_leak__front_loader

The most common source of leaks on a front loader is the rubber door bellow. The bellow can develop cracks, rips or tears with age and needs to replaced. The following link explains how:

If you have any questions about this repair, please let me know so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. I hope this helps you.

I have a high efficiency front load kenmore washer that leaks around the front door. How do I fix this?

You may have to replace the door bellow (gray rubber seal). These seals can become mishapened or develop rips or tears over time and no longer seal. The following link explains step-by-step how to install a door bellow on a Kenmore Elite front loader:

Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions.

NOTE: There is another method you may try as well. Although I do not prefer this next method because these washing machines are very heavy, an alternative way of replacing the door bellow is to remove the lower toe panel and tilt the washer back at a 45 degree angle instead of removing the washer front panel. If you use this method, make sure it rests against the wall and will not tip forward. This allows the wash tub to drop down and away from the front panel and gives you access to the the rear bellow clamp through the bottom. This can save you some time.

Just use your model number to begin your search criteria.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: These door seals do wear out and require replacement from time to time. However, overloading the washer to the point where items get caught in the door area can contribute to premature wear and tear.

My front loader washer is leaking at the door and it don't seem to get my clothes clean what do i do

Inspect the door bellow (seal) for any rips or tears. It may be worn or loose and require replacement. This is a fairly simple repair that anyone can do with a little guidance. The following link explains step-by-step how to install a door bellow on a Whirlpool Duet front loader:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385210-replacing_door_bellow_kenmore_elite

Although the bellow may not have any physical tears, they can also become mishapened over time due to normal wear and not seal properly. You should have a good tight seal all the way around the door.

Some additional items to look for that may cause leaks around the bellow:

1. Check the dispenser tubes that pentrate the door bellow. Sometimes they get pushed behind the rubber causing the water to trickle behind the bellow and leak. You will notice this on fill and rinse.

2. Check the rear bellow clamp that holds the seal to the front facing of the wash tub. The clamp can come loose, causing it not to seal properly.

I have a GE front loader that leaks from the bottom, any ideas what it is from?

Is it coming from the front? You can take the bottom panel off and look inside. If the middle is not wet, it may be from a torn door gasket. Pull back the rubber seal on the machine (not the door) and you may see a big tear. That's what happened to ours. We ordered a new one on ebay and we are installing it now.
