I downloaded AdAware and SpyBot, updated both after download, ran each twice and MyFreeze **** is gone. Easy and safe. Both programs are highly recommended by Kim Komando. I've used both in the past for years, just hadn't put them on my new laptop, should have known better.

Freeze.com is a known producer of Spyware that downloads and installs along with all of their FREE programs and screensavers etc.
You need to install update and do all the tweaks on a recognised anti-spyware program.
If you have an anti-spyware program installed make sure it is NOT listed on 'The Spyware Warrior List of ‘Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites’
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
Those are "anti-spyware programs" that install their OWN spyware, while 'supposedly' removing everything else.
Use instead "Ad-Aware 2007", "Spybot - Search & Destroy", "SpywareBlaster" are three good ones. Beware of imitations and name similarities. Install and update then run them weekly after doing the latest updates.
Lastly, to stay OFF of Weird and Strange websites!  ;>)
Install McAfee SiteAdvisor.

    Then try uninstalling those programs.

Shut down completely for at least 30 seconds, and then restart.
Then do a search for 'all files and folders' - search for both Freeze and then any other program names associated with this problem, with the options "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search sub-folders" checked. Delete all of those found.
You should do this search and delete whenever you uninstall any programs. It will remove lots and lots of leftover junk files taking up room on your hard drive. It will also give you a "clean install" when you reinstall or install an updated program. Do this ESPECIALLY when updating to a NEW anti-virus programs and “Internet Security Suite” programs such as McAfee or Norton etc.

This is a nice little FREE utility you can try. Install Microsoft "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility"  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/e...
If you find (PROGRAM NAME) listed just hit the delete button.
    Then do the normal uninstall.

You will probably have a lot of left over Registry entries and errors leftover from this, try a registry repair program such as 'Registry Mechanic'.

To remove Myfreeze, go to control panel and uninstall anything with this name. Then open your homepage to where you see Myfreeze. Look in the upper right and hit the reset homepage button. It will take you through the steps. Very easy!

Firefox fix - after doing ALL the above, open Firefox. In the address window type "about:config" .......(don't worry about the Void Warrenty........just promise to be careful).......in the filter box type "keyword".......any entries with "netassistant" or "my.freeze.com" .....right click and RESET. Exit, then restart Firefox. It should now default to Google search.

I first used HijackThis to locate the source of this problem and found nothing. I tried AdAware and Spybot. Again nothing. I then tried searching for "freeze" and found nothing until I did an advanced search in hidden files and found that Spybot had uncovered and quarantined a file several weeks previously but the problem remained. I then read wegood4570's solution and looked in the Firefox Ad-ons and sure enough found a Freeze Assistant which I then uninstalled and voila; no more redirect. Fixed!

If you're unfortunate to have downloaded a program called Freeze.com or NetAssistant it's hard to fully delete from your system. After uninstalling it under your Programs (uninstall a program) files, you may find that when you go to open up a new tab, it's still being hijacked by My.Freeze.com. You'll need to open up your "regedit" files. Click onto "Computer" then "Edit" and then "Find." You'll need to type in three different searches. Also, be sure that you unclick where it says "Match whole string only." Search for "Freeze" then "NetAssistant" and last "w3i." After you have deleted all of these files on your registry test your new tab and the hijacked Yahoo page shouldn't come up again.

Just do a restore on your computer and that should do it. I just did a restore on my computer and that got rid of my.freeze.com. Just as simple as that. Hope that helps.

you need to delete it from the file first then delete fro control panel install programs unless you did that already well then you just need to delete from the main file.

My power point froze while loading clip art

The Office XP and 2003 applications (powerpoint, word, excel, etc) may freeze or hang when searching for clip art. If repairing your installation does not resolve this issue, read on.

By default, microsoft assumes that when you search for clip art not only do you want to search your hard drive you also want to connect to the internet and grab related images from office.microsoft.com. Privacy issues aside, this can cause your computer to hang if the office web site is down or there are many online images returned from the search. Worst yet, it seams these images are not cached. Thus the same search will re-download all the images over and over and over again.

You can disable this feature by navigating to insert > picture > clip art and clicking on the drop-down selection box that says "Search all collections". There is a checked-box label "web". Uncheck it.

Customizer 11000 does not convert image files to stitch files

I'm assuming you are refering to the auto tracing function of the program. Customiser 11000 is a very limited layout and editing program, it's digitising function is extremely limited.
What is never explained satisfactorily to the purchaser, is the requirement for exceptionally clean artwork. Scanned photographs, colouring book images etc are not clean artwork. You need vector clip art, optomised clip art you find on the web is too "dirty" and needs a great deal of "cleaning" in a graphics program. Use the WMF import function and source a decent supply of WMF clip art. Most commercial clip art collections offer WMF as an option as do the clip art for digitisers sites.
Another reason for your program freezing could be an underpowered video display card, if your computer has a shared graphics card you're underpowered. Also your Ram, Customiser 11000 is a CAD based program which uses a lot of ram playground and a lot of your display cards muscle, whatever the programs specs are, triple them.
Check which version of the program you have, then visit Janome global, select downloads, software , and see if you have the latest version, if not, download the newest version.
