Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
My charger is broken. It is constantly beeping and green light is off. I bought the laptop for a yr and 1 month. Sony they said my 1 yr warranty is over. Fries Electronics told me to buy a new one for $150!! Sony is expensive and overrated. Sony sucks!!!!!
You should be able to buy an after market power adapter for your laptop and it would be cheaper. Make sure it matches the same voltage and amps as the Sony. Check the Internet, do a Google search for Sony power adaptors. Before you buy a new power adaptor, check the with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the lable on the bottom of the power adaptor. If you get a very low or zero reading then the adapter is faulty. If the adaptor is OK then the problem is a faulty power connector on the laptop and a computer repair shop can repair it.
