Get a cheapy drive cleaner/laser cleaner. Looks like a normal CD/DVD, but has a brush on one side. Should be able to pick it up from an electronics store/supermarket. Pop it in, watch it go, then try again afterwards. I've detailed this further in a blog posting at <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.garysmith.org.uk/blog/index.php/blog/show/Matshita-DVD-R-UJ-857E-problems---dirty-laser.html">http://www.garysmith.org.uk/blog/index.php/blog/show/Matshita-DVD-R-UJ-857E-problems---dirty-laser.html</a> - there's a few comments on there about it, pretty much all of them saying that it's worked for them. I guess with it being a slot loader it's perhaps a little more open to getting dust inside. Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Why does the error code ox80020022 on mac when try to burn a cd

Communication between your computer and disk drive have failed. Try a different disk. If you lower the burn speed it may help you get the job done. Put it to about 24X and see if that works.

I keep having failed burn sessions it says "Power Calibration error" what and how can I fix that

Their could be several possible reasons and solutions for the above error, basically what is happening is for some reason the CD/DVD burning software is unable to determine the Optimum Power Calibration rate (a small pre-burn test to determine optimal laser power for writing), resulting a disk burn failure. There is no easy way to pinpoint the exact reason, so try all the possible fixes from top to bottom (easy to hard) and see what works:
Try using different brands of quality blank media, most common reason for such error's is cheap blank media.
Try burning at lower speeds (Highly effective).
If this fails try a different burning software

Error code 0x8002006E

There is no known fix for this.. Error burning CDs. It is caused by the 10.4.8 osx update.
Upgrading to 10.5 will solve your issue, but may mean spending cash, sorry.

The Super Drive needs to be replaced. This error cannot be fixed with software.
If it's still under warranty simply take to an Apple Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact Apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) or contact an Apple Expert at http://www.apple.com/support/expert/

Power calibration error

In the past some burns did not like some makes of cdr's. Ask a friend for a blank cd from a differant manufactor. And be sure that your burn software is set to use the right drive.
