When I try to get out of the hole - my 200HP Merc doesn't seem to be running on all cylinders and won't get the boat on plane. It will periodically act like it wants to take off and give burst of power and then back to no low end power. When I put someone up in the front on the boat and get it on plane - it will run Ok - once it gets the RPM up?
It seems like it's not getting power to all of the cylinder and then all of a sudden it will go and then back to no power - can it be something electrical or is one of the injectors plugged?
Did you ever find a fix for this? I am having the same issues with the same motor. I have spent $1400 so far and still intermittently broke. I think electrical also. I have searched the internet and found many people with the exact same problem and no solutions. One guy said broke blue wire to the cylinders 2 & 4. I checked my wiring and all appears ok unless broke inside the insulation and barely making contact. I pulled on all of them to see if they'd break. Very tough to troubleshoot when its so intermittent. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...

I would be checking the tank vent is clear, then work along the fuel lines for air leaks preventing the pump from working properly
the power tilt should be electric motor operation and that indicates along with power loss, a low battery ( not charging) and if efi engine then that low power situation will result in low power for the engine controls
take it in for a proper diagnosis and quote
unless you have a misfire on the rear cylinder and as the two run of the same crank shaft this statement would be hard to pinpoint
Have a compression done on the engine to determine a drop in pressures
move the front injector (EFI) to the rear
if EFI have the fault codes read
IF carbureted with with a carby for each pot have the carbies tuned professionally
have the bike run a on a bike dyno for a power test
Once the fuel and oil are mixed, there is a problem with the seal of the generator set, which happens from time to time in use. It might indicates that the seal of the generator is out of order. Or it can be caused by excessive cleareance between piston and cylinder.
1. Pump membrane rot or degumming, so that diesel oil into the oil tank and oil mixing.
2. The injector has low opening pressure and poor atomization, which causes diesel oil to flow into the oil pan and oil along the cylinder wall.
3. The oil seal of the front end of the fuel injection pump is invalid, and the check hole cover of the gear chamber cover is removed.
1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.
2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.
3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting should illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word "diag" should then appear.
4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.
5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module) to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.)
P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module [EFI] / Ignition Control Module [Carbureted)
S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
SP = speedometer
T = tachometer
6 - To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC's the code will be displayed or the word "none" will appear if there are no DTC's. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.
7 - Record the codes.
8 - If DTC's are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed.
NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC's again by repeating steps 1 to 9. If the code is current it will reappear.
9 - Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
10 - Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
On models not equipped with a tachometer "No Rsp" will appear when the tachometer identifier is selected.
"No Rsp" will also appear if the run/off switch is in the off position when doing this procedure.
Now, once you have the error codes, what do they mean?

Check the galleys near the cylinder head.
Bet you picked up some sea weed or something like that.
I know a trick you can try but don't leave this stuff in to long.
Feed the cooling system about a couple of table spoons of draino.
But be careful not to get any of this **** on you,It will eat just about any rust and any organic matter that might get into contact with it.
It can eat zinc also, so if there is any zinc try the liquid plumber instead.!!!
Hope this solves your probkem.
I think a funnel with a tube near the cylinder head junction will be your best shot with this .
Good luck,Gary
Revove power comander& see w/ happens...I have a 09 flh also I installed a TFI fuler..
wow test
Engine light being on. That is the sign there is a Code that is stored. This may help you.
Harley iagnostic Codes
To access codes
1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.
2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.
3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word ¡°diag¡± should then appear.
4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" (on mine the ¡°t¡± looks more like a ¡°¨\¡± )with the first P flashing.
5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module) to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.) P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module [EFI] / Ignition Control Module [Carbureted]) S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module) SP = speedometer T = tachometer
To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC¡¯s the code will be displayed or the word ¡°none¡± will appear if there are no DTC¡¯s. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.
1 - Record the codes.
2 - If DTC¡¯s are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed. NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC¡¯s again by repeating steps 1 to 3 If the code is current it will reappear.
4 ¨C Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
5 ¨C Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
On models not equipped with a tachometer "No Rsp" will appear when the tachometer identifier is selected.
"No Rsp" will also appear if the run/off switch is in the off position when doing this procedure.
The timinmg is preset by the permanent keyed slot built into the inside of the flywheel where it mates with the crankshaft. If the key was broken off, you would get No spark because of the nature of the magneto ignition. Your compression is actually pretty low for a 2 stroke. It should run higher like around 90+. Try this. With plug removed, cover plug hole with thumb and give the pull start a real strong pull. It should push your thumb off of the hole. If it doesn't the compression is too low for the engine to run. Scored piston walls, or cylinder walls could be the problem. Again 60PSI is really low. I would remove the jug and check for piston scoring and cylinder scoring. The engine can be easily rebuilt (but not real cost effective).
Sounds like a problem with your injector or injector sensors. One of the nice things about the EFI`s are the ability to hook up a diagnostic unit to the motor and then a tech at a merc dealership would be able to tell you exactly which sensor or injector is the problem
