Question about Kenmore 95922 / 95924 / 95929 Electric Kitchen Range
Replaced non-working broiler element, now bake element doesn't work, only broiler element. Bake light display comes on, but only broiler element heats up.
Fuse box was tripped during broiler element install, but not an issue any more.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hello wandamacavoy - If the bake element and the top of the unit works, but just not the heating element, then you possibly have a bad broil element or connection. However, if you are experiencing other performance difficulties, then you may have a bad control board that needs to be replaced. Consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.

I had the same problem and the first step you should take is to replace the bake ignitor, you most likely to have a weak ignitor. If this doesn´t solve your problem, than your gas valve is failing. Despite the broiler is ok, the gas valve has independent channels for bake and broiler, so it´s possible for one to fail and the other is good. But i believe that changing nthe ignitor will solve it.
