Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF60WE610 60" Rear Projection Television
My 60" Grand Wega is about five years old. Last fall the projection bulb went out andwas replaced with a new one. Since then it has slowly started to show sign's of a blue burn in areas but recently, its starting to take of the whole picture really affecting our TV watching
The blue LCD panel in the light engine is going bad. The only fix is to replace the light engine. This is an extremely expensive repair. However, Sony has extended the warranty on the light engine only on many of these models. Find a local Sony authorized service center and give them your model and serial number to see if yours qualifies for the warranty.
