HI, This oven has an electric ignitor not a pilot. Turn the oven on and look inside the oven. If you see an orange glow, the flame should light.
If there is a glow and no flame, the ignoitor should be changed.
If you remove the floor panel in the oven, you can see the ignitor and test it to see if it is getting 120V.
If it is getting voltage but not glowing, the ignitor will need changed.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further

My oven will not come on I have a kenmore model number 362-7555190 the burners work fine but the oven itself will not come on and i don't know where the pilot light is for the oven to check -please help

The oven does not have a pilot light it works off of an igniter. It is a common problem that the igniter will fail which prevents your oven from starting. You can have this piece replaced but it will cost you. I think the replacement for ours was around $100...maybe even closer to $150. But it is cheaper than a new oven.

The top burners light but the oven won't light at all. The stove is 19 years old. I tried turning the oven on and using a lighter thinking the pilot went out but it won't light.

Your oven has a pilot safety. This keeps gas from being sent to the burner(s) if the pilot is not lit. It has gone bad, they all do sooner ar later. You need to get it replaced.

Oven won't get hot

If your oven still uses a pilot light, it also probably has a thermocouple positioned in the pilot's flame path to detect whether if is safe to turn on the main burner. When the thermocouple fails, the oven thinks the pilot light is not lit and will not let gas flow to the primary burners. The part isn't costly (should be <$20 US) but replacing it may require some expensive labor.

Gas oven turns on but no heat. Think pilot light is out but can't find it. Kenmore model 91130469893

Not sure how old your range is but most haven't had pilot lights for some years. The ovens use either a kind of hot-wire igniter or a spark gap for ignition. Check the Sears parts site for your model number and I think you'll find an illustrated parts breakdown that can be very helpful in diagnosing problems.

Maytag gas oven doesn't heat, but oven's pilot light is on.

Get the oven checked out by a professional, if you have a gas leak you can easily blow up the entire house and you with it. I think you have a faulty gas valve based on what you wrote

Gas oven dosnt work

the pilot light is there for 2 purposes. number 1 to light the burner and number 2 to heat up the thermocouple, thermocouple is a wire that the flame from pilot suppose to surround by fire. if the pilot is to low it will not reach the thermocouple. you can take the gas line that supplies gas to the pilot and clean it with a safety pin or a small needle. you can test the thermocouple by heating it up with a blow torch on low heat, get it red hot and then turned on the oven. if the oven works clean the pilot, if the oven do not work, replace the thermocouple if separate from safety valve. if thermocouple is part of it replace the safety valve.

Bakers pride pizza oven

does it light then immediately go out? if yes, usually you have to hold in a button to allow gas to flow while you light the pilot, and hold this button until the therm0-couple is heated with the pilot flame. If the thermo-couple is not sufficiently heated and you let go of this button, the pilot light will go out as the safety circuit thinks there's no flame and unburned gas is entering the oven.

The other thing you could do is adjust the height of the pilot flame... there's usually an adjustment screw near the button described above which will allow you to adjust the height of the flame. Make the flame just big enough to guarantee that it keeps the thermo-couple hot AND that it can light the oven without being blown out.

Good luck.

GE XL44 Range

The pilot light is lit to light the main burner. First off, is your pilot light lit or is the igniter lit. There are two thermal sensor in the oven. One is above your pilot light and will not let the pilot light stay lit unless there is a flame. Secondly, you have a thermal sensor in your oven wired all the way to the switch to turn the oven on. If it thinks that it is at temp, then it will never turn on. This sensor may become bad or the case of my oven break. But if these are good, you many have a clogged burning unit underneath. Cleaning according to the owners manual may correct that. Check your owners manual to see what is user serviceable. Gas is nothing to play with.
