Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
I am having problems powering on the laptop. When I turn on the laptop it powers up for about 5 secs, I can see the green power light turn and I can hear the fan. It then cuts off.
Disconnect the battery from the laptop and only hook up the ac adaptor. Turn the laptop on and if it still cuts off after 5 seconds then reseat the memory back into its slots. Also make sure your air vents are not clogged with dirt or dust as lack or air flow can cause the laptop to shut off. If that doesn't do it then take out the hard drive and dvd drive and turn on the laptop. If the laptop still cuts off then it has to be a faulty motherboard at that point which means to much voltage is going thru and the components on the motherboard are not regulating it properly.
