U haveto install the drivers for your sound and video cards the question mark in front of video card indicate that there is no drivers installed for it. u should obtain the drivers from the manufacturer . generally the insatllation disk is avaliable with the components if not than u should obtain it.both for video n sound card.

Hi,

Can you send a link Acer aspire 4315 ms2220 for me, i need vga & sound driver

Acer = Manufacturer name
Aspire = Model name
4315 = Model number

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.

You didn't state the O/S.
The graphics chipset (VGA), and the audio chipset (Sound), are the devices in question.

Note there are two Audio drivers listed, (Sound), and (Scroll down), three VGA drivers listed.

The first audio driver is for an Azalia audio chipset. It is ALSO for Windows XP (Home or Pro)

The second audio driver listed is for a Realtek audio chipset, and is for Windows Vista.

Got XP or Vista? Choice here is easy.

Let's say you are running Windows XP. You would click on the blue -
Audio Driver to the left of Azalia.

A small window will come up on the right -
Opening Audio_Azalia_v.510.0.5443_XPx86.zip

Make sure the small circle to the left of Save File, has a green dot in it. If not left-click in the empty circle to the left of Save File.
Now go to the bottom of the small window, and click on OK.

Another small window will come up on the left. Allow the file to fully download. Then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.
(Audio_Azalia_v.5.10.0.5443_XPx86.zip)

Go to the left side, and click on - Extract all files.
In the files that are 'unzipped' look for one with .exe on the end, or Installer. DOUBLE-click on it.

The top VGA driver file (Intel 6.14.10.4785) is for Windows XP.
It is the -> oldest Windows XP VGA driver available.
Installing the newer driver MAY NOT work.
Installing the older VGA driver may be the way to go.

The newer VGA driver for Windows XP is the second one down.
Intel 7.14.10.1318

The last VGA driver listed (Intel 7.14.10.1318 also) is for Windows Vista.

Use the same procedure for the VGA driver file, as you did for the Audio driver file.

For additional questions please post in a Comment.

[It may be a different setup AFTER you DOUBLE-click on the file name, when it has downloaded to the second small window on the left.
If so tell me what you see ]

joecoolvette

When I set up window vista it didn't have any problem with sound, but if I set up window XP, it didn't have sound and I can't play media player as well. So now I try to find driver board. Is it the right...

Hi,
Yes it seems that Vista has the sound driver but not xp. You will have to determine what kind of sound card you have and download the xp driver from the internet.
Best wishes,

First you want a Windows Xp genuine CD and most of the drivers are built-in in Windows xp, also try to install windows xp with service pack 2 and after installation go the device manager and see how many device required drivers as you can see them with exclamation marks or question marks. go to google and download the device driver run it inside your pc also i recommend before you do got to device manager and indentify all your dirvers like VGA Sound and other devices
