Hi Macgiver,

have you tried replacing the fuse for the unit.

replacing this will eliminate blown capacitors, you may also want to use capacitors with more than 6 amps to hold on to the current in a stable manner.

if this did not fail over night, then you may take the 4amp capacitor back to avoid burning other parts of the set.

hope this helps,

regards.

There can be many reasons for a fuse blowing repeatedly, depends where the fuse is, if its on the power board, it could be a faulty power board or theres a short somewhere. It definitely needs to be looked at and tested. You could replace the power board if the fuse is blowing there repeatedly but if it blows even with a new power board then the problem is at another area.

Best to get it looked at to avoid extra part bills.

HI. My Yamaha D80 while playing gave a burned smell and than sound quit. Rest works. I opened rearcover and notice 3rd fuse in the back was blown. Changed it. Blew again. So I stopped fidling around.

If the fuse blows and a smell of burning is present then its obvious there i a fault somewhere ahead of the fuse, the fuse is a protection device.

The television quit working during a storm and seemed to not be getting power. Took off the back and found the 5amp/125v fuse blown. Replaced it and it blew again as soon as I plugged it in

Hello
All telivisions are provided with fuses, and the function of fuse is to protect its internal circuit agains short circuit, and protect the other components in the TV. if fuse must blow, surely there must ba reason. Without rectify that reason, if you put the fuse and switch it again, it may poise to other more problems. So get it repaired with a qulaified service personal. Never put any more fuse in it and swich on the Tv. Ok.

Wiper fuse blows as soon as you insert one

first....be sure the fuse is the right ampage. second...if the ampage is correct, and it still blows, do the following. Disconnect the ground-side of your battery. Attached test lamp to ground-side of battery. Take probe end of test lamp and touch anypart of the motor body frame. If the test lamp (DOES NOT LIGHT UP), you have an electrical short. Recommend OBD (On-board Diagnostic) analysis test.

Hello I blew the crank fuse is it possiable that I blew another cause car wont start.

yes quite possible you may have blown another fuse too--- if the wiring's are grounded somewhere get it checked.and yes the car wont start until you change the fuse.also check that the fuse insertion socket is not rusted.if its rusted just clean it properly before putting in new fuse.

thanks, keep updated and please rate the solution positively.

Insignia LCD TV 26"

A blown fuse is a symptom not the cause... You might take a look at the caps E919,E920,E921 (all 680uf/35v). The board can be accessed by removal of center cover w/o removal of the entire back.
