Panasonic PV-DV103 Playback Problem

When I press the red record button on the back of the camera, it goes to record mode. When I press it again, it doesn't pause, as it should. Then, when I rewind to play back my tape, the screen is white with no date or time at the bottom. What is going on? Is it time to by another camcorder or do I have a jammed button. Sometimes I get a still picture of what I recorded instead of the white screen...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Recording or playing back

for all of you who have this problem. You can't record or playback anything and your power light is blinking. Just turn it on and off on and off. I did this for about 5 minutes. Just turning off and on and then trying to play or record something then took out the tape and blew with a duster for cleaning your keyboard and that worked. This has happened before and well that worked for me. Hope it helps anyone outthere.

Panasonic PV-GS500

I had the same problem but without the needing cleaning message on my Pana PvGs12, weird as it sounded, I stopped it but left it on and gave it a whack on my palm and then tired playing it again and it fixed it. But I have heard it may also need professional head repair and that it may be out of alignment too? Try switching from doing it in the camera mode and or in the playback mode. I'd also try the reset button.

Can't record or playback

when the red light flashes the camera either has a fault with tape mech or the lens unit. This should be checked by a panasonic technician.
