You will need a technician service the y sustain board. the tech will connect an oscilliscope to the board and readjust the voltages on this board. when these voltages are off, like yours, you will see speckles in dark or light backgrounds....

Red shimmer in black areas

The fault could either be on the main PCB (logic - input/output) or the Y-Sus PCB? Check the supply voltages for accuracy.

Elna tavaro won't stitch

Sounds like either some thread jammed in the bobbin area, or possibly it got knocked out of "time"-as you know a sewing machine is just that-a well tuned machine that has movements that have to occur in sequence. Were you sewing anything heavier than normal? I have knocked my Janome out of "time" twice by sewing something too heavy for the needle or the machine in general. I have also had thread wad up under the bobbin. Re-alignment or whatever they call it is not real expensive but would result in some downtime for your machine.

Monitor problem

You didn't specify the card you are running but here is how I would approach the issue.

#1 refurburished Monitors have at a minimum a 90 day warranty, so be prepared to call Dell Tech Support and troubleshoot if my information doesn't help, if the monitor is defective, then they will have to exchange it.

#2 The optimal Resolution is 1680 x 1050 60 hz, you need to ensure that setting (You didn't specify, so I mentioned it)

#3 Sometimes color issues are caused by cabling issues. Try both DVI and VGA connections, see if there is any difference between them (digital or analog, the picture should look the same) If one looks ok, the other doesn't. then it may be a bad cable.

#4 Does the issue occur on more than one system. If it does, then the monitor is bad. If you have individual pixels stuck on (Red, Green or Blue) and you have more than 6, that in itself is justification for replacement.

#5 If all the above doesn't work, contact Dell Tech support for an EXG
